No, Death by degrees is NON CANON, so she/he's right about this. :) Nice oneshot BTW, :)

Overall a great fic, although Anna and Nina's parents died when they were younger (shown in Death By Degrees game). Still, it's interesting to see your interpretation of how they would interact as teenagers. Teenage girls without Aikido and assassin skills are a pain to deal with, so my deepest sympathy goes out to Helen. Poor woman.

Richard's favoritism is very sad to see, but it definitely happens in real life too. Seems like an all out war in the Williams' house for daddy's affection, and Helen is just chopped liver.

Just a couple quick grammatical things I noticed:

-You should capitalize 'girl' in the title. Not doing so is misleading, since you have good grammar throughout the fic.

- “So you can defend yourselves when the time comes”, she had said.- The comma always goes inside the quotation marks in these instances. There's a few more times where you do this again.

- “For heaven's sake, Richard, do something, you know they only listen to you in those situations!”- Run on sentence. There should be a period or exclamation mark after 'do something' and then the 'you' after it should be capitalized.

Again though, an overall nice oneshot. :)
