Wow. Just... wow. This story blew me away (and I am fully aware of the cliche I just used).

You don't see many fics written from Haruhi's perspective, mainly because the novels and anime are told from Kyon's point of view, and because she's a complex character, with peculiar motivations and a none-too-descriptive backstory. What I have seen from Haruhi's POV has been brief and intense, filled with desire. You don't do that here- you paint her as a person, with a conscience, and yet she is still outwardly the exact same Haruhi the other characters interact with. And it's beautiful, it really is. I wish other people would explore her character more as you did, building her up as a human being rather than a force of nature (although admittedly she is both).

I find it interesting that you chose Haruhi for this prompt, being what she is. But from how it turned out, I think it worked extraordinarily well.

I liked this one. Nice to see a little of Haruhi from the other side of the mask.
