I can already see main character changing to a cliche ...I keep getting baited with these Summaries only to see the makings of a cliche straight out the gate... Just disappointing

I spent two whole days reading this awesome story! Thank you for your hard work and giving me a few laughs and tears! :)

First: I like your style. You write good English without grammar or spelling errors. It seems like you have experience writing stories, the flow of the chapter is well-paced and the paragraphs make it easy to read for the eyes.

I really would like to say more good things about this chapter, because it's rare to find something that well-written, but there are huge logical gaps everywhere. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and ignored the first first few, but as soon as she said that the "Naruto is a Jinchuuriki" part it was just too ridiculous for me to read another chapter.

Ok, your OC character is supposed to be 12 years old. She clearly isn't. I would have maybe believed a very jaded 15-year-old. But with that level of speech and that way of thinking she simply can't be 12. Shikamaru at 12 didn't act anything like that.
She supposedly got out from under the nose of a group of ANBU somewhere between the age of ca. 10-12. Kakashi could have maybe done that, but then again Kakashi is a genius, grew up in war, and was Jounin by the age of 10 or 11.
She has a very powerful Kekkei Genkai (and is apparently one of, if not the only person left alive with it), but was still allowed to leave the village at the age of 7 (!), which makes absolutely no sense. Sarutobi might be nice, but he knows better than letting Konoha's most valuable assets walk around where they can get killed and the bloodline lost. Especially since she is only a child.
She knows that Naruto is the Jinchuuriki of the Kyuubi, something that Sarutobi forbid people from telling their children by penalty of DEATH. It is implied that she also knows that he is Minato's son. Soon... her parents got killed for telling her that? That would be the logical conclusion, but somehow I doubt that.

It's been almost a year since Bound finished. I can't believe that Ren's story has been over for quite a while now. This will forever be my favorite Naruto Fanfiction. I love the plot and characters. Ren definitely brought something different to Naruto's world. Thank you so much for allowing me to read about her adventures.

I've stopped trying to understand Ren, what is it she wants? It's like she herself doesn't know. Stay in Konoha, leave it, make friends, abandon all bonds... She is worse than Sasuke in this, at least he made up his mind and went for it. Of course council is suspicious of her like that.
But I adore her relationship with Shikamaru! Couldn't make me happier, I would love to see them together eventually

This was very stupid of her, trying to sneak to second exam... Why the hell couldn't she just wait till it ends O_o I can somehow understand she want to break the bond with Sasuke, with what her mother said about it, but I hope with time she will change her mind about other bonds and stops being so selfish. I can certainly see potential with Shikamaru. Very interesting fic, can't stop reading it!

This story is my absolute favorite! I love it so much! I was so engrossed in it from start to finish. The ending was how it should be but I can't help but wonder what happens to Ren and Shikamaru?!

I am an extreme NaruHina fan so I don't usually delve into other fictions too much but this looked to have potential. So far I am still of that mind set. Thank you for your hard work.

Amazing story! I love it! Ren is not a Mary Sue or an unbelievable overpowering character. I loved how you showed that throughout the story. She knows that she has flaws and that she is out of the league of her teammates but she has her own achievements and talents.

Herr interactions with everyone of her teammates is so cute. Like she totally makes up for what she puts them through. And not only with her teammates but with everyone. Especially with Shikamaru.

Whenever they're together it shows how much of best friends they are and how much they need each other. They're adorable. SO. FREAKING. ADORABLE. I applaud how you managed to keep Shikamaru's character without twisting or adding to it.

I also enchanted how you added Ren's own story into the timeline of Naruto. It should that she has her own problems to deal with while trying to help out with other's. The bond she has with Sasuke was pretty neat. It made her seem like she had so much character. At first, you can really see that she is struggling and desperate to get rid of it. Yeah, her attitude switches back and forth a lot in the beginning and sometimes it would make me kind of irritated at her. But major character development.

There's more things I would say but at the moment this is all I can type. Spectacular fanfiction! My favorite fanfiction of Shikamaru! I'm glad you finished it all the way till the end of the manga. I just wished that you can write more about how Ren is growing up to be an adult and living her life as one with Shikamaru. But anyway, MAGNIFICIENT JOB! :)
