This fanfiction is glorious. I really like how you had Rydia get drunk and then confess - it all seems very in-character. I don't imagine she's ever really drunk before, so the wine would be a novelty experience. And Edge! I love how you wrote him, I really do.

I think this story needs one more chapter to wrap it all up, one where Rydia's actually sober, so they can talk properly.

Well, I took a break from reading your game novelization (which I am totally loving! I like it being done from Rydia's point of view, her's (other than Edge's) always being more intresting) Anyway, Thank You so much for an additional Edge/Rydia chapter! I loved reading this and have to agree that I like that's its Rydia confessing this time and not Edge. Though, myself, I always beleived that they would mutually be ackward about it, and both come to confessing at the same time. Honestly, I'd love to write them myself, but even though FF4 was what got me into gaming and Rydia and Edge being my first favorite video game characters, I've never been able to write them proberly (Crazy, cause I can write Vergil/Lady from Devil May Cry). Anyway, I'm so glad that somebody can work this pair out, and thank you so many many times over. I'd love another chapter, but I completely understand busy lives (I don't know how you were able to write and still do collage...), and for now am content reading The Summoned Land. Thanks again! :)

I loved the Rydia being drunk idea. That made me laugh lots. Silly Edge, messing up like that! I thought Rydia was going to beat the crap outta Edge! It was perfect!

Beautifully written. Love the contrast between the ditzy/drunken Rydia here and the solemn Edge. This was really well-written, and you really set up the basis of their complicated relationship. I'm impressed you managed to do it given that this isn't a long story. It's all in the words I suppose :)
