Pah. Even when I read the summary I knew this would be - pardon my language - bloody fantastic. Goodness, you know much I despise you, because you can WRITE. [Believe me, it's a skill that's slowly becoming a dying breed...]

Now, you and I both know that I could sit here and list all the things that were perfect about it - the characterization, the structure, the wording, the flash-backs, the description, the pace - and it'd all be lovely, but really I'm seething with jealousy and angst BECAUSE of the jealousy, and a headache BECAUSE of the angst, and now look what you did. Ach. I blame you. All the best writers do this to me.

This was such a magnificent insight into the character of Luke; I'm fairly sure that the sentiments, thoughts, and emotion so beautifully portrayed here are universal for Luke. You wrote it so splendidly - it was magnificent. :D

I liked it. It's a nice diversion from canon, and the fact it didn't need any real dialog made it better. Has it really been five months since you posted? I knew it had been a while, but woah.

Wow, really really good. Breathtaking. There are a good amount of Luke death fics, but this is probably the best! And the hint of Thalia/Luke is a great touch. Anyway, I really really enjoyed reading this, its so well written and full of emotion. And seriously, I have no idea how you get it to be so meaningful in so few words! Thats something I'd really like to achieve...

Anyway, keep writing!

Oh it wasn't THAT bad! You and me both know that there is a LOT worse stuff out there. I really felt bad for Luke there at the end, I'm glad though, that this wasn't the way it was. I was SO glad when Luke died a real hero.

Have I mentioned I adore you?

If not, I could love you for this alone.

Even if I've always believed it wasn't too late for Luke. Just because the Fates knew his future doesn't mean Hermes or the people around him couldn't have helped him. Knowledge of the future does not mean control of it.

But he probably does think it's too late.
