I've always looked to your stories on Shisui for inspiration on his character, you did this one nicely as well, since Kishi stated Sharingan users can rig genjutsu and techniques to activate even after their deaths. The idea of a fleeting genjutsu for Itachi and Shisui to have a final goodbye is really heart-wretching, considering how good friends they were.

True. The only good thing is that Shisui is loyal to the Leaf, otherwise everyone would have been totally screwed.

That was fabulous. Shisui seemed darker than usual, but when he poked Itachi's forehead..ahh, his fondness for his cousin is so sweet!
