I remember this episode well, and it's a testament to how strong the bond is between Michael and KITT. You've written the characters superbly.

Very polished and a nice look at the aftermath of the acid pit. Poor Kitt.

Yes, that sounds like an AI would think. So many writers try to make kit too human, and he is something new altogether.

Aw, I love this. Your portrayal of Kitt was the best for me; I've liked Kitt since the first episode I saw, but I've always struggled a bit coming up with an explanation for his character and how he, as a computer, has managed to form this bond with Michael and what it means to him. (I'm too analytical and have watched too much Star Trek for my own good, I think.) But in any case, you manage to keep the depth of the bond without resorting to actual emotions on Kitt's part-mostly-and there are so many little tidbits in here that just make it all the better (like the fact that Kitt can't feel, but is comforted by, Michael's touch.)

Also, his agonizing over not being able to protect Michael was perfect. I guess that goes hand-in-hand with my relationship comments above, but I thought it deserved its own point-out because it was so well-done. Especially his feeling that he's inadequate to do the job after Bonnie rebuilds him, and his shame over still calling for help even though he knows full well that Michael can't do a thing.

Overall the balance between showing that Kitt is most definitely a computer and showing that in some way he really does care is spectacular and made this quite a heartwarmer and mini-tearjerker by turns. :)

I don't remember seeing anything you could fix off the top of my head. I wasn't taking notes as I read this time around, though, because I'm in a bit of a hurry. Kind of feel like I'm cheating you. :)

This is marvelous. Absolutely marvelous. You have a wonderful feel for Kitt and how utterly devastating the experience must have been for him; it's right up there with Gryph and Elfin. I would very much like to read more.

So beautiful. This episode, to me, was the staple of how much Kitt and Michael truly loved each other.

How Kitt would feel if he couldn't help Michael, since he couldn't help himself, or how far he would go to save Michael, even if it meant sacrificing himself.

Wow, this was painful (not the writing, the subject!). It was very easy to hurt right along with KITT. That acid pit ate away at more than metal, it ate away at his confidence. Hurt is hurt, no matter what.

I like how it ends though-on a positive note that things will get better with time.

That was really good I loved it! and yes few people have done a one-shot on the junkyard episode, but your was one of the best I've read, I like how it was from KITT's point of job again.

Wow. I have read a ton of short shots of this scene and so far I think this is one of the most that captivates Kitt's feelings and emotional disturbance in all. This is well done, thanks for writing another great story.
