The writing is really good even if the plot isnt original but I gotta say 3 thinhs bother me a lot about this story. Alphards character is really inconsistent. Tom Riddle is nerfed whenevdr he goes against Selene, and Selene is quite Mary sue-ish. Her power and knowledge levels are inconsistent and change rapidly and she gets away with pretty much everything. Im 36 chapters in and I have to stop here. She always ends up being portrayed as the victim even when shes in the wrong. For a story with such in-depth representation of characters, its all rather shallow and inconsistent.

I have to admit, I was a bit weary of this story in the beginning, but something about it really piqued my interest. Needless to say, I'm so glad to have finished this story. It was the most bittersweet ending - I literally felt my heart SHATTER into pieces once I read the last line. I became so attached to Selene and Tom that I literally couldn't stop reading this story until I finished it. I very rarely cry while reading fan fiction, but this story had me sobbing at the end. I still think of their story every day and the heartbreak that came along with it (this review is literally proof of this considering I finished this story over a week ago). All I can really do is just thank you for this story.

I first found it in 2012, devoured it in a day, and have reread it countless times over the past 7 years. You have me in tears, every time, with how you've ended it so well. It's the most beautiful fucking tragedy, with a phenomenal plot, and even better characters. You've motivated to read, you've motivated me to write and so much more. I'm grateful for this website for exposing me to this other kind of authorship, but I'm even more grateful for writers such as you, who really inspired the creative spark in me and so many others like me. I love the confidence that she has at the end of this chapter. I'm in a relationship that is not entirely unsimilar to how she FEELS when she's with Tom. Her confidence just gave me confidence, I really like that with this character more than I have many others so thank you you've helped me more than you know.

Why use the same idea? I like this story better to be honest. But with your creativity level using the same plot idea just seems...I don't know. I'm not trying to rip on the story or you but this seems lazy is the best word I can conjure at the moment. Still love your writing and the story but I was hoping for a different scene. It was almost the same. I honestly didn't even realize it was the same character until this scene, even if the name was same.
