:) I love it! It's cute. You got the characters down perfectly. Ty Lee going up to Mai first to be friends sounds about right and Azula becoming interested in Mai and Ty Lee after that playground incident... Love it! :D

I really enjoyed your take on how the three girls became friends, especially because it was Mai-centric (she tends to be the most honest and observing of the three) and how you show that their friendship wasn't based entirely on fear, yes, it played a big part but there was so much more to it - Azula brought out the best of Mai and Ty.
The way you showed the dynamic the trio had with each other and what happened when they were separated makes the ending of the show all the more poignant - Mai finished being Zuko's trophy wife (well... I suppose that has yet to be concluded in The Promise and The Search but we can all be sure they end up together, again...) and having to be subject to dull court formalities everyday; Ty Lee on the other hand ended up in a stingy little island as part of a group of warriors whose strength lies in their unity, leaving no space for individuality - exactly what she ran away from home and later to Azula for. Whilst I'm sure Ty Lee joined up out of mere reflex and guilt I've always wondered how Mai processed her betrayal, would she admit she missed Azula or would she kid herself into believing she hated her?
