Whooo. You blew me away, here. Here's the thing, I avoid all Draco pairings all the time because Draco's usually depicted as a huge prat and the pairing just doesn't even make SENSE. Before I read this, the thought of Draco/Ginny would make me vomit. Now? I think I found a new pontential OTP! They just make freaking sense together. And they're cute. And witty. And sarcastic. And so great together I can't believe I never noticed it.

To be honest, I liked the first part of this one-shot more than the later part. Your characterization of Neville, Ginny, and Draco in the beginning was great; the lead in seemed realistic and the mental image of Draco potentially having to dance with Neville was hilarious. But I felt the kiss broke this one-shot from the realm of very realistic into that of OOCness on Draco's part. But, besides, that, nice one-shot and well-written.

I really liked this. I honestly believe that if Draco hadn't always been so conscious of how he had to act and behave with the Trio Co, he definitely might've gotten along with them.

Anyway, I love this Draco. I love how you mentioned the lion/snake thing.

Awh, this was really really cute! You made it SO funny and witty, which I enjoyed. The quips were really believable, so good job on that front. I think most of your characterizations were great. I liked your Neville and Ginny, though Theodore was my favorite.

The only concrit I have is Malfoy at the end. I think it's all very realistic EXCEPT when he tries to tell Ginny the truth. I can see him having those feelings, but I don't think he'd ever share them. Draco always puts his blood-status and self-preservation first, and he'd know that it'd be better to squinch those feelings. However, I think you know that, and it's still a really, really good story. I really enjoyed it! )

Yes, everybody's in character (I liked Neville being reasonable... after all, a free lesson is a free lesson.) Draco is such an idiot; when he's not fouling things up on his own account, he's getting help from his friends.

This little scene also gives additional motivation for Ginny later singling him out for the Bat Bogey curse. Lions 1, Snakes 0.

Like someone else said below, I can't believe i read a Draco/Ginny fic and actually enjoyed it! I didn't expect them to move so fast as to kiss after the first dance, but overall, that was a great story! Loved seeing a soft side to Draco and your last few lines are always so captivating - food for thought. Like I said, I usually stick to the normal ships, so this is new for me... you should add more to this..

Wow. :) I'm a huge Draco and Ginny shipper, it's the one ship I'll do no matter what. I enjoyed this immensely. I think you're right: canon compliant, not canon plausible. It wouldn't have happened, but it has the possibility. I always thought Blaise was closer to Draco, but I liked the Theodore Nott aspect. Very well done.

Argh, this was so good! Everyone was so in character. My favorite part was the last three paragraphs about lions and snakes. They were so well-written and beautifully composed and just, urgh, RUN FOR COVER!

This is really believable, even as a canon-compliant story. Though the kiss is sorta reaching, it's not like unexpected relationships and crazy hook-ups don't happen in real life. And both of them could plead temporary insanity. Theo and Neville were great supporting characters, though I wanted to smack Theo -which would be a little awkward, since he's not real and all. I like the pairing Draco/Ginny, but I think I like this better. Coincides with my 'Happily Single For Ever After' kick. (Why does a woman need a man to be happy anyway?)

This is really good. I've never read a Draco/Ginny before but this was great. So romantic and the characters were portrayed really well. Because of this, I'm beginning to believe the ship could work. Very well written. :)

as a rule, i don't normally read ginny x draco. but ! this was nicely thought out , and an interesting take. i very much enjoyed that neither character became something they aren't - they didn't fall in love, they didn't change sides, nothing. it was a strange moment in time that for some reason seems entirely plausible. :] nice.
