Great story. Loved how you took the fact that Sam was affected by not receiving the fake phone call from their dad, on top of knowing that he had a deadline to try and save Dean. And perfect that Dean would try the alcohol method to try and get Sam to talk. It may have taken more drinks than Dean anticiapted but he reached his goal and Sam finally crumbled and Dean was there to pick up the pieces, reassure Sam and put him back together again.

Oh, if a bottle of vodka could really get Sam to open up, it would be wonderful. I particularly like this:

"Dean stared at his brother, wondering just how he had missed something this big. How he had missed Sam breaking apart right in front of him."

Too bad Kripke doesn't follow that model! We all see it!
