ambertiger22 chapter 8 . 9/6/2015 I'm completely in love with this story. It's just so perfect, it's probably the best POM fic I've read. I can't even find the words to describe how much I adore this story. I've read it few a through times, and each time I love it even more. Fantastic work! |
Whimsical Scientist chapter 8 . 1/7/2015 I have to say that I absolutely love this story. It was just so perfect in every way. Written almost exactly the way I would have dreamed up this scenario myself...it's beautiful! Honestly I had my...doubts...about this pairing but you totally eliminated them with your story and now I actually love it and I'm dreaming up more myself! Very fine work! |
Zyar chapter 8 . 1/3/2013 Fantastic. A decent ending. I liked how they didn't end up together because it is so believable. At the end, Kowalski and Marlene couldn't have worked as a couple, and I guess she knows that and they're both happy with with that and understand it. Nonetheless, I'm not sure if I understood this story entirely, but you developed the characters' emotions nicely, situations seemed to match perfectly. I don't even know how to explain myself but this story is stupendous. |
Asmith137 chapter 8 . 1/24/2012 You are a great author! I adore the story, the emotions and just everything! It feels poetic to me and is honestly one of my favorite stories on the site. I'm so very glad you were able to post this and the final chapter. You've earned my personal thumbs up. |
Octavo Nous chapter 8 . 1/24/2012 Hey. I love your story. Damn I do. And by that I mean please marry me. Really. And if you're a girl (too) then lets go to the Switzerland and marry there, too. I just hadn't been touched by a story like this in such a long time! I want to compare you to the post-Franco Spanish poets and essayist, but I feel bad about them because... this is fan fiction. But still! You exploit the characters to a level people just don't understand any more. You know I usually hate Marlene (and Kowalski, because he's not as fun when you meet a guy just like him in real life), but I just feel her on this story, you know. Even if it's frustrating how she's a giant idiot, but that's just what it's like. She's not perfect. She's not even close to it. After all, she just feels so... human. That's what's beautiful about this. Your characters are so human, so capable of erring. And it would just kill me to know what's happening outside Marlene's range of understanding, but I wouldn't change the way you censure it. (Damn you for knowing it yourself, you B*stard) I just love your fancy words, and your understanding of rhetorical figures. (even as little as it is, it's still better than most authors now-a-days (inside and outside fanfiction)) And I love how this story feels so real, because it's like that 98% of reality, where things don't work out in the end. (and how we, as we know that, still fight for our share of that 2% were things do) I love it because ever since the first chapter you know it's all going to go wrong in the end, and how you need to fight to believe otherwise. But in the end you were right. It all goes wrong in the end. I also enjoy how this story happens over a lot of time. Unrequited love is like an overly prolonged era of all things sucking, save for those times you forget about it. Not that I should know about that. Reading chapter 7 just killed me a little bit on the inside. (WHYwasshesuchanidiot?) But it's amazing. I really appreciate when stories make me feel shit. Whatever it is it makes me feel. (But for some reason I've yet to find a reading that makes me smile like a fool for a while.) But anyways, your writing is awesome. I love it so much. Damn it, you took my two least favorite characters and had me dying to know what the hell was going to happen between them (even if I knew all along (nothing)) The only think I did notice, and it's sort of my duty to tell you, is that you eat a few words out. Sometimes you do it on purpose, but sometimes things just don't sense. If get what I mean. Or if that too was on purpose then I'm going to cringe, love you a little bit more, and then go back and read the story again, just to find the poetical sense to it. Please write more. Please. With much love and admiration, Av. |
serendipitousJabberwock chapter 8 . 1/23/2012 I read the whole story... Wow... Wow... Wow... It is so complicated yet... It makes so much sense... I wanted to cry from the suspense. Wow... I just wanted them to kiss. It's just wow...Sorry for not being so articulate but I just love this story! The feelings it brought up... Kowalski and Marlene shouldn't've denied themselves (I don't care about Skipper... He's a jerk). Just *sigh* damn, man. Hopefully, you don't think I'm over exaggerating (I probably am) but this is really a good story! It's enigmatic and dramatic and romantic in it's own way and *Larger sigh* I'm just typing all my thoughts into this review... Let me stop. One sentence summary of my incoherent rant: Great job! I loved it and will love it forever! |
Whisper of the Moonlight River chapter 7 . 6/8/2011 You can't... You're can't just leave me hanging here! Great story so far. You managed to keep the characters in... character, while twisting everything around. I can't wait for the next chapter! I'm sorry about your siblings; I don't know how it will feel like the same thing happened to my own sibling. |

Thrayonlosa chapter 7 . 1/6/2010 Okay, I really, really suck at reviews, so I'll just say I pretty much totally agree with the really awesome reviews. Because they embody the awesome of this fic. See, told you I suck at reviews. Anyway. But god I love how you've written this. It's gotten me so into it. That doesn't happen much. I mean I like plenty of fics, but not many have me hopelessly hooked. ...shoot, I'm shipping Kowalski and Marlene in this fic like no one's business. |
Spotty1006 chapter 7 . 11/27/2009 This story is really great. I love it! I can't wait for Chapter 8. You are an AMAZING writer! About two-thirds into Chapter 7 I rolled on my back into the fetal position, quietly laughing my head off! Keep up the really great work! |
CJzilla chapter 7 . 11/14/2009 I am picky; wicked picky. Nothing is more precious to me than my time. Yet there are few things I look for in a story; good grammar, solid, original plot and good story telling. If the story lacks all or even just one, I move on. You caught my attention with this brilliantly unorthidox story. Characters were soild, conversations were on the mark and the plot is refreshingly familiar. All in all, well done. I look forward to more. CJzilla |
halfhuman123 chapter 7 . 11/1/2009 Wow. Why is Marlene forcing it so much with Skipper when she and Kowalski have such easy chemistry? It's so... strange, and it makes me want to scream at the computer. But I love this story. |
