jess.c.kong chapter 1 . 9/7/2014 I really liked the premise of this story;you have a really nice writing style. I like it when stories are more subtly intertwined, especially in dealing with flashbacks or reincarnations. While I felt some of the stories did a good job of displaying the premise, some of the other stories were a little too subtle (like if I read them separately I would not have tied them to the same couple, and character-wise, I couldn't distinguish Shika from Neji). Should you decide to update or revise this piece, I would suggest adding more details that tie them back to the original couple (like how you did with Jim describing the girl's scowl or Antonio hit with just a smell - those were a couple of my favorite ones, and the Jack/Alice one). I think those were my faves because you also took the time to add a voice and more depth to each story. All in all though, I liked each story and was still entertained. Thank you for sharing. :) |
itanejiluver chapter 1 . 9/19/2013 Oooooh another reincarnation fic! These are rare to begin with, and this is a lovely gem in the small collection of those type of fics on the internet. A gorgeous piece, and if you are still on this site, would you consider checking out my story 'The Moon and the Stars' and giving me some feedback? |
Adamantyne chapter 1 . 9/23/2012 At first I had absolutely no idea what was going on. Actually, I didn't get it until the flashback Neji had. This was really weird and it was a bit hard for me to stay interested as I couldn't see any context and I had no idea what I was reading. Generally, I prefer to know pretty much everything about what I read (or watch) because I really lack concentration. So, props to you for not losing me here, most people would have. I think that maybe I would've put some kind of warning on it because it was really confusing. Especially the scene on the plane, I had no idea where that came from when I read it. I really liked it though, put some things into perspective. And I'm glad they found each other in the end. "I've missed you, Shikamaru."/"Several times in fact." - I really love the exchange in the end. all of it, but particualarly this part. Oh God, this was a master piece. Much more refined that most fanfiction, which is another reason why I was totally lost. amazing! |
Eonblue chapter 1 . 4/18/2011 If I wasn't so stubborn, I'd be balling. As it is, tight throat at burning eyes... That was a great story. |
Shinejshi chapter 1 . 6/15/2010 This story really struck a chord with me. You did so well keeping Shikamaru and Neji identifiable in each incarnation regardless of gender and time-period. By the end of the story I was literally sobbing (very unusual for me). I know I will be thinking about this in days to come. |
Tikvah chapter 1 . 8/19/2009 I fell in love with it from the very beginning and it didn't let me down. This is a really, really good and well written story. It is just confusing enough to make you curious about what is going on and then as it slowly dawns on you and you begin to understand it's just perfectly bittersweet. Every time I read about them missing each other it makes me a bit sad and angry that they just didn't get it. And the ending is just super with that half teasing dialogue that still has so much love and care in it, it suits them perfectly. All in all, this is a truly wonderful story that brings some well needed creativity and uniqness into the world of fanfiction. After making me angry and sad, in the end this story left me with a strong warm and happy feeling so I can honestly say that finding and reading a story this good was the highlight of my week. You rock! |
Curtis Zidane Ziraa chapter 1 . 8/18/2009 That was creepy and amazing all at the same time. And I totally got it. Some of them just getting the hint, some getting slammed with it, some totally oblivious, and some in between. Then those understanding and not understanding, and some trying to follow through, other's not. Amazing. That was so deep. Even if I don't actually believe in that stuff at all, it's still cool. |
torib0o chapter 1 . 8/17/2009 Omg, I feel like that little bit of death in the beginning should've been mentioned because I was sobbing for a good five minutes before I could move on...and then, the cat and the little girl died...who, I believe, were both Shika. Eh, this was actually really interesting, the concept, I mean and I read it straight through, aside from the parts where I had to stop to wipe my eyes but I really, really liked this _ |
Miroku Kensei chapter 1 . 8/14/2009 Hmm a very interesting plot and also very impressive. |
