MorgantheFae chapter 1 . 5/25
Oh, this fic /hurts/ to read! The angst is fantastic, as is the look into Russia’s psychology. This is why i like the RussLiet pairing so much. There’s something beautiful about what’s broken and impossible.
Yellow Starcat chapter 1 . 4/16/2016
this story is so beautiful. I like how you compared russia to a sunflower without a sun which is quite sad and accurate. I hope that you write more RussLiet stories like this one because this story is absolutely wonderful! I really like flowers myself and I'm thinking of writing a fanfic about different flowers when I have the time.
SingBenihime chapter 1 . 6/22/2011
"Russia was like a sunflower without a sun, desperately turning his head toward anything that seemed bright and warm. A raging fire was bright and warm, and he would turn towards that glow even as it charred him down to the root."

I absolutely loved that metaphor.

This story was so hauntingly beautiful, so meaningful. Thank you so much for giving us such a wonderful fic of these two. 3
espanamazing chapter 1 . 4/2/2011
I read this for the first time a long time ago... I'm not sure what reminded me of it, but I dug through ten pages of Lithuania fics to find it again.

And this really is a beautifully written fic. I can't single out anything in particular that I liked because /all/ of it is simply amazing. The characterization, their relationship, Ivan's relationship with Stalin, all the meanings and feelings attached to the flowers...

This is /the/ fic for this pairing, honestly.

And since I really can't think of everything I'd /like/ to say about it, I suppose I'll just reiterate again how much I love how you wrote the whole thing, and leave it at that.
TrollMaster chapter 1 . 11/8/2010
You, my dear author, are pure un adulturated AWESOME. No dis agreements allowed.

You actually made me like rus/lith, because, this story adresses evreything, because in usual stories it is usually just "OMFG11!Q Lithy is tots a sunbeam of sunflowers for our vanya :D XD and they look hot together~~~"

But this... is just...

and besides my prvius vapid statement, i really do like this story.
Voiceless chapter 1 . 8/26/2010
Beautiful. Heart- broken beautiful is what I would use to describe your story. It was meaningful in a deep way and I had to admire your insightness. I never thought Ivan's love for sunflower could be that-how to say, ah- symbolic. Thanks for writting such amazing story.
heygodcomplex chapter 1 . 4/19/2010
*sobs*

Beautiful story. It was thoughtful and provoking...well, you know, the emotional kind...

The historical references just make it so much more believable and interesting...I dislike Stalin.

*random dance*
Nyaburger chapter 1 . 1/18/2010
So beautiful ;w;

I love the story! Great job~
SilverBlueGrey chapter 1 . 12/17/2009
that was so gorgeous. you write excellent stories, i must say. and the historical facts... just make everything so much better. I think you portrayed the relationship between Russia and Lithuania absolutely perfectly here. I honestly do not think that i could have been put any better than you did here. Instant favorite.
Sexykill69 chapter 1 . 11/22/2009
_3_ so beautiul.

I truley beleive Stalin felt he was going to die. How sad. I know that for all it's worth he..he well, I can't really explain what he did. But he choose..and never really realized the full extent of his actions, never learned from his past, that poor man...so confused so paranoid, angry and alone.

Still a horrible man none the less, but I truley wonder if who he was, was all his fault.

Snowdrops. *warm smile* I do love the snow. In my entire life I've only seen it twice. I know it's strange but I hope to one day live in a place where it snows.

What a terribley lonley plant.(mimosas)

That will never happen, that is who Russia is. He is doomed, rather fated to have this quality engraved deeply within his personality. But perhaps he will meet someone...someone warm who can't help giving sunlight even when It's not wanted. A.K.A. America *wink wink* Russia and fate may never change, but destiny's can. Happiness...slowly for a small while *loses track of what she was saying*

Another wonderful story thank you. :)
Janira chapter 1 . 10/26/2009
Wow.. just.. wow!

How delicate, your story is.

I love every word of it.
Laure chapter 1 . 10/24/2009
I really, really loved this The way you described the relationship between Russia and Liet was breath-taking and I might have cried a bit at the end.

And a lot of love at how you described the differences in Stalin's and Ivan's madness!
WTv1.0 chapter 1 . 10/21/2009
Stalin was insane. I swear to you, he was.

This was adorable- it made me cry and smile at the same time. I've said before that I love your portrayal of both Russia and Lithuania, and I'd like to add your portrayal of their relationship to that list. This was beautiful, and there's nothing else I can think of right now to describe it.
Manixa chapter 1 . 10/9/2009
Aw, I really liked this.

I would really like to see snowdrops one day. 8D

Your historical/flower language notes were really interesting, too, btw
Sixteen clumsy and shy chapter 1 . 9/15/2009
