i mean, personally a little bit too cheese. I didn't realise i had read this before until Byakuya used the fancy term for friends with benefits, and then when Rangiku trusted Byakuya not to hit her with senbonzakura. I liked it then and i really like it now. I think your writing style is fascinating. Also the amount of research you put into this is marvelous. Congratulations on a finished fanfic. You did wonderful.

The idea for Rangiku's Bankai is truly ingenious to me. I've plotted dozens of Bankais for various characters, but it never occurred to me to use legends or myths or the like. The Rangiku/Byakuya pairing made me a little apprehensive at first, but I read it anyway because I love the rest of your stories and I thought it would be better for me to properly understand the relationship. I'm glad I did, because somehow you made such an extremely unlikely pairing work, and to the extent that you did, that must've been a hard thing to accomplish. I think you portrayed both of them very well. That's exactly how I was picturing Byakuya without his 'mask.'
