The ending was great and the rest of the story was brillant

“The room was absolutely beautiful”. So is this story. The UST between them, the way the words of the song correspond to their feelings, the way each analyses their emotions and comes to accept what they feel for one another, Alex’s realisation that her love for Gene leaves her hopelessly torn between him and Molly, and how her grief at losing one could poison her life with the other, are all so sensitively described. Don’t have any doubts about the ending, it’s just right. There can be no resolution while Alex remains undecided about her final choice. Unless you do another chapter – hint, hint?

Absolutely beautiful! I loved how you managed to get some good ol' Gene and Alex banter at the start, but then you really got into the emotional stuff too. The "you've got me wrapped around yer bloody finger" line paired with him touching her hair was such a perfect response I thought, so Gene-esque, but so brutally honest at the same time.

Oh wow...loved it...perfect for the pair of them!
