I absolutely agree with you, this would have been a far superior outcome to that scene. Vampire knight tended to be evil in it's teasing moments between Zero and Yuki. How can a fan be expected to handle him continually pushing her into walls or her straddling him without eventual insanity setting in when the intimate promise is never fulfilled.

Oh this was written soo well, the lead up was nice and there weren't any jarring character breaks, plus the lemon was tastefully written.
