I love how Tycho's first reaction is "did you blow up the apartment?" Because while Hobbie is sane, Wes...isn't, and Hobbie gets dragged along.
I love Wes. He's great. And this is great too. Nice use of a throwaway line!

Wes and Hobbie, doing what they do the best - causing trouble. This is exactly what would have happened had Wedge not remembered that Janson is like a five year old - he should never be left unsupervised for long. Explosions tend to happen otherwise. Best part - "Did you blow up the apartment?" "We're doomed."

And of course Hobbie was the one who said that. He's the dour one, after all.

Somehow I can see this happening ~ very, very funny.

That was absolutely fantastic. Finally, a more-than-decent piece of fan fiction based on SoA! I laughed way too hard (especially at the amusement factor of Wedge's comment at the very beginning as compared to the events of the story), and am amazed at how well you kept Hobbie and Wes in character, and kept their relationship in-character as well.
