This is perfect. Seriously. There is not a single flaw with this story and characterization of these two.

He doesn't like her, and after all the guys chasing after her, it's kind of interesting.

"Honey, am I pretty?"

And the way that he looks at her, intense, when she's speaking, as if she were the only thing that existed in the universe, does not make her the way that his hands—long thin gorgeous piano fingered hands—move over things is not at all the sexiest thing she's ever seen

He's sweet and funny and (occasionally) hot and sexy and she's not going to rapethe poor boy.

"I like you a lot, too," she says.
