... I am both pleasantly surprised that this fic exists and utterly astonished at HOW UNDERRATED THIS FIC IS WHAT KIND OF INJUSTICE - ahem. What I mean is, this little thing deserves quite a lot more than just freaking 17 favorites. Seriously. I mean, it's on TVTropes for a reason.
Really well written. I could see the whole past meeting twist coming because that's a device nearly every odd couple shipping fic uses at some point, and if I have any complaints it's this: the ending just felt slightly abrupt and rushed. Also, Alvida is slightly OOC. But that aside, this is pretty good. Great job.

I think its fitting that the only man with a pair of balls and a brain in his head gets the "most beautiful woman on the seas".

This was very sweet. I think it may have gotten more attention as a one-shot rather than a multi chaptered fic. The pairing isn't popular so people may be turned off reading it by the length and the wait for updates.
A one-shot though would have kept their attention the whole time.
Love the idea that Alvida was enchanted by the beauty and wonder of a carnival like any other little girl.

As usual, the TV Tropes recommendations are reliable. Usually, the One Piece fics I read are Strawhat-centric, but this one was super charming and unique! I guess we never stop much to think about most of the other characters, let alone the villains. I think it's nice that you gave Cabaji and Alvida personalities, and I especially like the backstory you invented for Alvida. Loved the interactions with her mom-her mom having her own nice characterization, too. Husky and somewhat stern, but fair. I liked that she let the sugar slide when she saw Alvida running off to the pasture

Nice little twist, too, with Cabaji being the boy at the circus. It might seem a bit cliche to some, but darnit, it was cute!

Anyways, thanks for supporting characters that nobody pays much attention to! It was quite refreshing to read a story starring someone other than the Strawhat crew. This definitely deserves to be on the Tropes recommendations list c:

At first I thought it was Bon Clay when his sisters tackled him and tried putting makeup on him and doing his hair, but then you kept bringing him up so I knew he was more important than that.

I like the relationship between Alvida and her mother. It makes me wonder what possibly could have happened to turn Alvida from a pleasant young girl to a vicious, club-weilding pirate. But I suppose most One Piece characters do seem that way at first (I remember the good ol' days when I though Buggy was scary XD and Krieg.) and then you discover they're human too.

I think it's horribly unfair that this story didn't get as much attention as it deserved just because of the pairing. As it is, I think it's quite a nice pairing. Sure, the main character pairings are good, but sometimes you get sick of reading so much about them. This is a refreshing change. I'll be sure to add this pairing to my favourites.

The grammar and spelling was great (which is always a plus because bad mechanics in a story just detracts from the whole thing) and the chapters were a good length, easy to read, and over all stuffed with fluffy goodness. This was very deserving of the award it received.

I think the best thing about this fic is that I can actually picture in my head like an anime episode. It fits in very well with what Oda does for each of his charaters: having their flashbacks periodically interrupted by real life.
