This is one of the most entertaining things I’ve ever read on this website. OoT/MM happens to be my favorite timeline and to see a continuation was an extremely engaging initial setting. While the start felt a bit all over the place, the build up was one I didn’t expect. I understand that the reincarnations are apart of the same “soulyour usage fell in line with canon and your twist on the “passing down” of memories was unique. Link at first felt like a standard FF perspective that most authors try to twist onto a character’s personality, but your unfolding of our hero(es)’s psyche due to his existence was heart wrenching. Well done. Your characterization of the people and their bonds was also well executed. There’s so much I want to praise but without getting into specifics as to not spoil, I’d like to say: This story well exceeds anything I thought I was expecting coming into it. These past few hours have been some of the most enjoyable that I’ve had reading a fanfiction and I thank you so much for having this plot bunny and taking the time to write it out.

I'll be honest and just say I liked the story better before all the Million Fang, Marno, Lost, and nutso Saria stuff. But it's still far far better than the other garbage fics on the Zelda archive , such as OC/self inserts, high school AUs, gay rape fantasies, or just plain nonsensical drivel.

Link barely even uses his magic. Surely Din's Fire, Nayru's Love, or Farore's Wind could be useful in a fight. Nayru's Love would be especially suited for combat where he doesn't want to hurt the target. Or his transformation masks. A deku scrub or zora could non lethally stun an enemy, and a goron would probably be hard to even cut.

For some reason, most authors that can write big stories with good plots, also tend to suck at writing action scenes. But you're doing great in both areas so far. It's too bad you don't have any more stories in archives that I like.

One thing doesn't quite make sense to me. In the beginning of the fic, Zelda acted as though she knew Link, and accepted back the royal family's ocarina from him. But after that chapter, she's been portrayed as not having the slightest clue who Link even is, which makes no sense to me. If Zelda didn't know who Link was, why would she ever have given him the Ocarina of Time?

Wait, is Lillian from Termina? Wasn't the Ikana royal family wiped out though? Or is she like from a different kingdom in Termina?

Good post MM fics are rare. Hell, it's rare to see good Zelda fics at all. I mean, I love the games, but it's got some of the shittiest fanfiction around. Gems like this one make sifting through the rubble worth it though.

I didn't even play the games and I binged this in a day. Wow I'm in love with the Monster and the Fang. They're such cool characters. And the way you portrayed the forces of the Forest, Lost, Marno, and the Kokiri, so freaking cool. This was the first Legend of Zelda fic (barring smut) I've read, and now I'm worried you've ruined the rest of the genre for me like how "Hitchups" ruined the rest of the HTTYD fics. Some fics are just too dang good. Like this one.
