That was such a fun and beautiful story. Each chapter was really fun to read, and not to mention how well-written it is. I had no idea what I was going in for when I decided to read your story, but once I did start, I wasn't able to stop myself from reading. It's obvious to say that I've fallen in love with the story, and with our bratty Adele Polkiss. I could not praise you enough how well you've written her character. Early on, and even from the very first paragraph of chapter one, Adele was a rascal. She's very curious, stubborn and quick to anger. Her first interaction with Harry in the first chapter already had me hooked in. You perfectly captured a bratty seven-year-old girl perfectly.

From there, we get to see her grow up and interact with Harry, and its so heart-breaking to read a little girl wanting to be a witch, to experience magic. Their time together every summer was what I really loved in the story. Harry telling her all about his adventures in Hogwarts, telling her all about his friends and the things he learned, and teaching her magic with her first pink wand. It was really devastating to read when her wand was broken in front of her. I was really praying that she would get her Hogwarts letter, but when that didn't happen, I was just so heart-broken for her. Throughout the story, we see her get jealous and even mad at Harry for being magical, wanting to be magical herself, and seeing that dream crushed... it's just painful for me. But that didn't stop her from believing, and that was what I really love about her. You created a strong and determined character.

I really admire her determination. She went to sew her own cloak, made a Hedwig plushy and finally got a new wand that turns green with you swish it around. And that was one of my favorite parts in the story. Adele and Harry's summer together was very fun to read, and it was more beautiful to read about her growing feelings for him. It was heart-breaking when Harry had to leave her for some time when she'd finally realized and confessed her feelings for him. Even though the chapter seven ended sad, I was clinging to the hope that they'd be able to meed again. To my surprise, it took 5 years for Harry to finally face her! I think his excuse for that is very weak. But that doesn't really matter, now that they'd finally gotten back together! The last part was really fun to read. Their "confession" was really adorable and sweet. And I'm extremely glad that the story ended happily, and I know that they would live happily every after together.

There's so much stuff that I would want to talk about in the story, but I wouldn't want to make my review even longer. I has the best time reading your story. I'm extremely glad that I found and read your story. It's a beautifully-written story. I cried on almost every chapter, almost. Adele Polkiss, I'm proud to say, is one my favorite original characters. I would have really wanted to read a sequel to this amazing story, telling her adventures in the magical world with Harry and her new friends. Alas, it is not to be. But I still haven't lost hope yet, even if its already 8 years later since the story's latest update. If you do continue to write more about Adele Polkiss, or if another write were to write a similar story, either way, I would gladly and happily read it.

I like the change in Adele. Atleast she'll start changing her ways. This chapter has certainly made her more likeable.

Well, four chapters and over ten thousand words in, what I can see is that the protagonist is a rather nasty, overwound bully. Not quite sure what we're supposed to be seeing in her to make her sympathetic, but I'm not going to spend ten thousand more words on the offchance anything develops.

i really enjoyed this entire fic~ usually fics with someone from harrys childhood/being his childhood friend turn out very differently. usually where they are best friends or such and they just happen to be magical too. Overall this fic was different in the best way possible and very cute! Thx for sharing!
