I loved that one! Your writing style is perfect and I coudnt stop. Esme is one of my dearest characters as well. I think her desicion was right, even its probably hard for her to admit that she took a life.

Such a lovely story. I love how the characters act and especially that its form Esmes point of view because shes kind of standing between Edward and Carlisle.

That was so sad. As for the merciful or sinful thing, I think that technically it was wrong but that since Grace asked and that the way she was going to die was so horrible it was merciful.

So you think Nessie is Grace reborn? Nice idea! And the story explaining Esme's slip is pretty creative too. It suits her character perfectly and the writing style is awesome.

A very profound piece of writing! I am sure you must have thought much about this piece before writing it. It speaks of deep love for children. The ending where you have Esme hearing Renesmee say thank you Miss Esme, shows that the decision stays with you forever, when you are a person like Esme.

This was so hauntingly sad, I had tears in my eyes! So very true the way it all could have happened. Edward is so stubborn, but nothing Carlisle or Esme could have said would have changed his mind, I think. Great that Esme watched over Bella until Sam came around in his wolf form and could take her back to Charlie and her world. So sa!

Aww! That was really a cute piece! Ready to wallow in self pity, both Carlisle and Esme and then the saving of a mother and the birth of a child, all in the space of a few hours, by the same 'angel'! Wonderful!

That was horrible and lovely at the same time! The aggression and anger throughout the majority of the chapter was startling, but the love in the last few paragraphs made up for it! It is obvious that Esme's words made an impact on Edward and that he changed his diet soon after leaving Chicago, otherwise he would not have had amber eyes when he got home! I really liked this chapter!

I think that was a probable way that Carlisle arrived at his decision! A very big decision to take, not knowing if he would be able to control the newborn enough to prevent carnage taking place elsewhere!

Really a moving chapter! I was almost in tears when Esme finally joined Carlisle and they were able to speak truthfully to one another. She and Edward really made Carlisle not doubt himself!
