sliz225 chapter 1 . 7/2/2010 Speaking as a twin myself, I hate when people assume that my sister and I should be alike. Recently i was asked if i was wearing contacts-because twins should /obviously/ look alike and have the same eye color! This story made me feel much better. I'm glad there is somebody who completely understands how twins can really similar and yet different at the same time. Very lyrical, very poetic- I love it! |
JacksonFrost chapter 1 . 2/9/2010 This is beautiful and I love how you delved into Padma's character. You portrayed her perfectly. :) |
Expecting Rain chapter 1 . 12/16/2009 I've always thought Padma and Parvati are interesting minor characters - they're identical twins but in different houses, and they don't seem to have the same kind of relationship as Fred and George. This is a good character study of both of them. I was really surprised at the end - I guess because you concentrate on Padma in the beginning I didn't think she'd die! Very sad ending. I love your language in these sentences especially: "Simply because she does not fall so hard in love with the sweet adrenaline that comes from rushing headlong into battle does not mean she is any less a hero" and "But Voldemort cares nothing for “should have beens” and “would bes” and Padma dies for her belief—dies—not a coward—but calm, collected not-courage—Padma is not a Gryffindor, she is a Ravenclaw, and she is not courageous—she is sensible, and she falls in the beauty of her common sense." |
JJ Rust chapter 1 . 12/6/2009 Very good! Brilliant job in showing the difference between the Patil twins, and that being brave doesn't necessarily mean having to dive head-long into battle. I also liked how you use colors to describe the twins different personalities. Keep up the good work. |
Hermowninny chapter 1 . 10/11/2009 This is really good. You know how to get deep into the characters' heads. It's interesting that the two twins ended up in different houses and you did a great job of explaining the differences between them. This could also be seen as the difference between a Ravenclaw and Gryffindor hero in general. |
