Just when I'm despairing a lack of good AR fics to read, having read literally hundreds, something turns up to prove me wrong. That was INTENSE! I loved it, though I also low-key hate you for killing Eagle and probably Spider. But I guess it adds to the dark atmosphere, so you are forgiven. The ear-ripping, as well, was mildly nauseating. Let's hope you're nicer to Alex in the next installment...

I always wonder about you people who never update. A few months sure, a year maybe, 2 years kinda stretching it but still possible, but 4 years, really. I have come to a conclusion that it is either 1 or more of the following things:
A)You're dead
B) You have been severely ill
C) You are on the run from people trying to kill you
D)Witness Protection Program
E)You are running from the police
F)You are in a mental institution
G)You are in prison/juvie
H)You have recently developed a fear of computers or other computer/internet related things
I)Somehow you got locked out of this website and then proceeded to forget your password
J)You got annoyed by all the weird/negative comments and chose not to update to get back at the people that sent them
K)For some strange reason you are being blackmailed or forced into not updating
L)You couldn't handle the pressure and had a mental breakdown (see letter F)
M)You were a con man using this as some part of your cover
N)You were an undercover police officer using this as part of your cover
O)You are stuck on a deserted island
P)You are a soldier stationed somewhere with no internet access
Q)You recently became a criminal and can't go on your account because the police could track it (see letter E)
R)Fan fiction reminds you of to many bad memories so you don't go on it
S)You are suffering from amnesia
T)You got kidnapped and have been captive for long time
U)You faked your own death so it would look weird if you accessed your account
V)You are in a coma (see letter B)
W)You are an alien who is now stuck in a secret government facility
X)You are an alien who returned to their home planet
Y)You recently became a secret agent and cannot go on here less it be tracked
Z)Someone (mom, wife, etc.) told you to stop sitting around on your computer all day and get a life so you listened to them and cut out fan fiction from your life.
So there you have it. I could come up with more, but I ran out of letters. If its not one of these then I DEMAND AN EXPLANATION and do not tell me you lost all inspiration for this story because if its true then you should have written that in an authors note so everyone knows and so people like me don't have to sit around for 34 minutes making a list of possible explanations.

I haven't been able to shake the conviction that this is still just part of the training exercise. Snake standing back whilst Alex took out two guards and then whilst Alex faced off alone against the Australian sort of cemented it.

Alex seems a little OOC in that he's so easily upset... but it has been quite a while since I've read the books. :)

Oh my God, oh my God, this story is WONDERFUL! I've never read such a... complete story! Okay, this is officially one of my favourites now, and mind you, there aren't many.

Oh, and you write INCREDIBLE! This could actually pass for the real book, and I'm nor exaggerating!

Oh my gosh, this is so incredibly fantastic. Great action, great evil villains being utterly and totally wicked and despicable and so so clever.

The bit with the ear was gross. :P A little touch of Van Gough there, huh?

I can't believe they shot Spider too! He didn't last very long...

Oh man, this chapter was so awful (just the stuff that happened, not the writing. No, the writing was fantastic because it made me respond to this stuff so strongly!).

Interrogation. Eagle is dead..? Messing with his head. Confessing his whole life story to Snake. Getting his MCL/ACL torn (hurts like nobody's business. :/) and shoulder busted.

I'm so glad that Snake is being so great here.

But I hate the Australian. Hate. Him.

Ahhhh, and here comes the title phrase.

I really liked how Alex had his little break down and Snake could sort of understand what he's been going through, but then he pulled himself together resolvedly. Cub is back. And ready to perform his miraculous escape. :)

But man, I hate Scorpia. With a passion. Nothing around them ever turns out well and they just mess everything up... especially for Alex.

I'm curious to see what the questioning is about. Is Yassen actually alive? Are they just trying to confuse Alex and give themselves an excuse (not that they need one) to torture him?

Dunno. Guess I'll have to continue reading to find out! :D
