hello, i hope you dont mind a kinda in depth review and that you wont take it the wrong way!
I want to start out with the good things first.
your writing style is clean and interesting, the female Oc is awesome. I like her character and dont find her mary sue-ish at all! shes not too weak, or too strong, she reacts like a fairly well balanced human being considering everything thats happened to her.
good job!
while i was reading your story though i was surprised how unexcited i felt about reading it. this is the part i dobt want you to take the wrong way and the constructive critique part.
i was wondering why such well written characters made my excitement run flat and then it occured to me.
its the method and build essentially of the chapters. there is no fear of death or anxiety that the characters are facing a problem that could possibly destroy them or something important. essentially as a reader i felt no build up that is hooking me to these very well written characters.
the flash backs are excellent as a story of their own, the way they are written you could almost put them as a starter story so that you actually get to read through the fear of death, not knowing if this ballin character might be gutted or raped or whatever. the way it is currently simply lacks electricity knowing she is just fine in the next chapter.

i hope you take this review as a good thing and that youll take it into account if you ever decide to edit or revise. your a great writer, better than a LOT of others who write this stuff and i hope you'll continue. sorry this stupid critique was longer than some fanfiction chapters out there. :p
