This was a lovely last chapter. I'm glad you covered the topic of Mia. I like the way you stopped the chapter before the Mia and Heaton fiasco, though it's quite sad to know that Mickey's happy ending wont be with Mia, when he's so optimistic about her.

The whole fic had been very well wrtten and I've really enjoyed reading it, thanks for posting it.

I loved this chapter, Mickey's actions and feelings were spot on.

Favourite thing of this chapter had to be that even though Mickey knows where Jack's loyalties are, he still chooses Jack over the job. Honestly, I'm not sure any choice would have bettered the option of Jack.

I always love reading about this era, the time when Mickey comes back, but pre-Mia.

Worst bit - in a good way - is the visit to the doctor, when even the reactions of a doctor make Mickey feel like he isn't important.

Aw I loved that latest chapter hun. Poor Mickey, I liked the part about his name. I'm a sucker for small details lately.

Loved how he was all conflicted over inviting Jack to the wedding as well. Great stuff as usual :-). Love it muchly.

Really liked this chapter. The details really sold it; wanting to be with someone his mum would approve of, the change of name and clothes. And I love the way, even when he's trying to distance himself from everything, Jack's still in his thoughts.

I liked the way it started off with Jack being 'not his future' and ended with Mickey realising there could be room for him.

And I always wondered about whether Mickey would have had many friends at the wedding if it had gone ahead.

One of the saddest parts for me was

'He might even say he was proud of himself, but that seemed too much' - because he should have been proud of himself, I always think Mickey has too low a self esteem.

Looking forward to more.

Oh. Just saw this fic and I'm now so glad that I decided to check the site today. It's so lovely to read a well written fic, especially when it's a well written fic about Mickey - there hasn't been enough of them around lately!

The first chapter was so in character, and I could see the scene happening right before my eyes.

And chapter two was heartbreaking all the way through, though the ending was happier.

I can't wait to read about the next three stages.
