Wow, this was such a good story. I think my favorite part was the ending. It just seemed so symbolic to the new chapter in Holmes' and Watson's lives.

Thank you for writing this. I've been a little depressed lately, and I feel a lot better now :)

...What is this water coming from my eyes? I don't think that any dialouge at the end of a fic ever made me cry from the shear beauty of a sentence. You're last line by Holmes did that to me :')

Well in the middle of that fic, I heard the first words of a song playing in my ear that said.. "everyone dies... everyone loves to fight..." I mean, really? just really? couldn't be more hilariously perfect for a coincidence.

anyway, that was a nice end to the fic. I like it. :)

This was sad. Really sad. I can't believe they made Watson marry in the new Sherlock Holmes movie. She's going to die anyway and they have to break his heart and probably mine. *sigh* I'd like to see something in Holmes' POV if you're not swamped with stories and haven't done so already. I'll read more from you.

Wow! Just wow! This is beautiful writing. You write as if you reside inside Watson's head! And all the facts and emotions you write about, the guilt, the grief, the sudden sorrow when one wakes up in the morning and knows that the loss of their loved one IS reality, and the fact that someday one realizes that they just have to let go and continue, all of that is very true and very well written.

You know a lot about human nature. And I'm amazed at that because you are so young, and I'm older and just learned about those feelings only after I experienced them. That's why I can totally relate. I don't know whether you have had such experiences in real life or all this writing comes from the wisdom you have as a young individual. Either way, I think you are amazing.

I like Mary and would love to read more of her in SH fanfics but she doesn't seem to be around much in this fandom! :( Then again, I'm new here and I still have to look around for her!

A very moving piece, I must say. It fully captured Watson's torn feelings over Mary and Holmes, something that would be very natural in his case. I enjoyed reading the angst he felt between accepting Holmes's comforting arms and pushing him away. Very nicely done.

Ah, I love this even more the second time around, with the little edits you did to it. Whenever I read anything from you, I'm reminded of that old writing rhyme I've seen in ancient textbooks and stuff -

The written word should be

Pure as a stone

Two words are not so good

as one.

And that's why I love your writing, because it's so clear and pictoral that I can see exactly what's happening, both visibly and under the surface.
