I was going to leave a review with Tatterdemalion, but I was just sucked in by the story I had to keep reading. I am not even remotely familiar with the second half of this AU/crossover, but you explain enough of it that it's not a problem, and /boy/ is it fascinating! I've had problems finding Bleach fics I've really wnjoyed, but I can confidently tell you this is one of my top favourites - it's suspenseful, got mystery and I love reading how everyone reacts to their circumstances. The whole concept of the virus is fascinating, and you can tell you must have put in some research into plague mentality, which really makes the scenario feel more real.
I was already super invested with Ukitake and all at the start of Tatterdemalion, and I thought it was just going to be an insular fic with the select cast, but then you expanded it to strike team (and Ikakku and Yumichika, who are my absolute favourites), Yorouichi, Isane and later Retsu, who I am really enjoying as an outsider perspective. For some reason I really love how Kenpachi is just known as Sarge, it seems very fitting.
It can be hard determining when a scene/POV change happens, but your writing style is just so enjoyable and the Shinigami's exclusive comunication is really interesting so I don't mind the trade off.
Thank you for posting these fics, they are a fantastic read, and some of the best Bleach fics out there!

I wonder what the people they left behind are thinking? How much do they know? As far as their concerned the project just disappeared. What do they think happened? Were the deaths reported? When they try to find information what happens? Do any of them find other people in the same boat? Or is everyone reported dead?

A while ago I saw this interesting document about human physiology, our lower spine and neck really do suffer from the upright stance, which makes me wonder what we might look like in a few million years more of microevolution. I don't believe in macroevolution but adaptation happens all the time. Unless you're a cockroach :D

And speaking of vermin. Rats fit in the picture depressingly well.

It's really hard to keep track of all the characters in this, but I still love it. I hope you get back to the third part soon :)

Perhaps one of the nicest aspects of this is that even though the idea of Hollows as you present it is so very terrifying, you manage to place humor in as well. For something that is classified as horror, I laughed at a surprising amount of it.

Oh, this'll be good! After all, Kaien is the person who "makes things go boom" according to Isshin in Project Tatterdemillon (sorry, I can't spell). Not only that, but they do have a genius on their side as well as a data analyst. I'm just imagining all the trouble they can get into (and out of). As well as being Shinigami, that is a pretty good bonus/hinderance.
