This story is fantastic! If you need a beta reader to proofread things, I would be happy to do so! The symbol of Ravenclaw is an Eagle in the books (it had been changed to a Raven in the movies). Also, Blaise Zabini is a dark-skinned boy, not a girl.

Will Severus expect the truth that Harry is neither spoilt or like his father James Potter? After all Harry would not have been sorted into Ravenclaw if he was anything like his biological father would he? Kinda would be nice if Severus did receive some kind of verbal scolding from Hogwarts herself - that perhaps Harry's very nature could save him? Cause I love it when Severus does show some measure of reforming. Why didn't Severus wait until Harry had been at the school a week or so view what the child was like - why attack him so during the very first lesson like he did? I shudder it think what condition Harry would have been in if Severus hadn't been attacked in defence - especially when Poppy said that the spell he'd been hit with without being countered would have left Harry bleeding to death?

Hmm...I wonder if Hogwart's has favouries who live/or have lived within the castle?

It just doesn't seem right leaving Harry an 11yr old boy alone for the remaining summer at the leaky cauldron with only a busy Tom keeping an eye on him. Also Harry wasn't warned to stay away from knockturn alley either or about his status as the last Potter to House of Potter - but I suppose Minerva really didn't have time to do that. I'm glad Harry made friends with Neville and that they'd started a friendship because I think it might alter what house Neville might end up in. Since Dumbledore's plans have been waylaid because Minerva removed Harry from the Dursley's and made him a ward of Hogwarts - don't think that will stop him trying to manipulate Harry at all? But Harry seems like he might have some important allies in Dame Longbottom and his new friend Neville Longbottom along with Hogwarts castle herself?

Will Harry tell anyone or show them that he has some control over his magic - or will Olivander be able to detect this? Because I would think that if a young wizard was capable of wandless magic like Harry at since young age then sure'll having to learn with a wand my stunt his wandless ability or he might find magic using a wand hard/difficult or unable to do it? Can't wait to see what house Harry will be sorted into - and how Severus will take to eager, intelligent Harry? I bet Harry might end up in Ravenclaw, or not?

I really wish you had finished this story because its one of the better ones. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is fairly straight forward and simple and yet original as well. It is well written and kept interesting. You did not waste alot of time going over everything in the original books as so many others do.

I was somewhat suprised at the first chapter, the story description claimed harry would be intelligent, but honestly, he's not much of an improvement over canon!Harry.

Puts up with abuse at home, still can't make friends, doesn't ask why he's been forced to be a ward of hogwarts, or why when he was so wealthy he's been placed with the dursleys.

Oh and "whooping and shouting for it to go faster"? Seriously, this is the kid you claim is intelligent?

Claiming that because he's slightly smarter than canon!Harry means he's intelligent is ridiculous. He still lives in a cupboard for gods sake, it's not exactly a hard predicament to get out of.

I can't say I have much faith for the future either, it looks like McGonnagals going to become a sort of mentor, she proved when she left Harry on a doorstep in the middle of the night she's not fit to look after children.
