GlassMazeGazer chapter 66 . 3/30
Can’t say I’m enjoying reading scenes of Eric being treated like a puppet on strings. An immature, tantrum throwing little twat, now made vampire, but still an immature, tantrum throwing little twat has control over a formerly powerful, ancient vampire. SOOOO not appealing or hot.

The SVM/TB stories appeal to me primarily due to the Eric characters. Their vampiric edge, their humor, strategizing, power, intelligence, physical prowess of all kinds, but also with the mostly hidden emotional & psychological undercurrents. Watching him being made to dance at her whims is even worse than the cotton candy stories were he goes all gushy & turns into a baby craving, Sookie foot licker. It was unappealing enough with Sookie & Pam verbally disrespecting & abusing him — I don’t much care for seeing behavior like that towards anyone, but I find it particularly unpalatable directed at the usually heroic character of an Eric. Now he’s basically a just dancing bear and sex toy to someone who seems to be even less mature than the average mid-twenties woman. She doesn’t even seem to believe she even needs to learn anything this ancient vampire could teach. Ugh.
GlassMazeGazer chapter 53 . 3/30
Sooooooo, can she ‘wish’ that she & Eric were day walkers or some other ‘impossible’ thing?
GlassMazeGazer chapter 45 . 3/30
Oops — got my head turned around on my comments for the last chapter. Sookie was given Dracula’s blood to tide her over until Eric could turn her. QSA showed Eric the JI vial as the originator of vampires, JI being Judas Iscariot (none of the JI blood was given to Sookie). So the only actual remaining question I asked was why QSA referred to Sookie as HER progeny. Sookie will be Eric’s progeny. How could she be both?
GlassMazeGazer chapter 44 . 3/30
I’m confused again.
— How is Sookie QSA’s “progeny”?
— Why would Eric have asked/thought Dracula was the original vampire? If Eric is in the range of 1000 years old, he was around before Dracula, as was his maker, and the AP, etc.
— Why would QSA have chosen Judas’ blood to give Sookie & why would Eric find it significant that it was Judas’ blood?
GlassMazeGazer chapter 42 . 3/30
Well, I called the Bill getting past the FOTS right.
GlassMazeGazer chapter 40 . 3/30
In an early Eric POV chapter he revealed that Pam actually glamoured Sookie into finding sex with her appealing. Doesn’t that make Pam insisting on Sookie having sex with with her coercion at best and something akin to force or non-violent rape at worse? Regardless, it’s a creepy thing to ask someone to prostitute themselves to you because you did them a favor, made even worse given that the favor wasn’t asked for.

I’m finding the E/S/P combination every bit as creepy as the E/S/B combination. Particularly because both were creepy in one degree or another in their actions to Sookie, but also because (as I said before) the E/S pairing being intruded upon by additional people really bugs me. Not a fan of the popular E/S/G combination either.
GlassMazeGazer chapter 39 . 3/30
Leaving Compton unattended looks like a gaping hole for him to escape through before the FOTS creeps get to him. By the way — doesn’t drinking Bill’s blood mean she would/could feel him if he is left in the sun to die?

Hm, well, on to the next chapter to see if I find out what Pam learned from the douche’s blood...
GlassMazeGazer chapter 37 . 3/30
In general, I have no objections to stories with D/s elements or other less than staid activities like threesomes, even those that I wouldn’t find appealing for me in real life. That said, I do seem to have a very persistent resistance to any threesome (or more) combinations, any extreme BDSM, or even mild violence (like the slapping early in this story) when it comes to Eric & Sookie stories. I’m not sure I could even say why in any articulate fashion. I just know that for these two characters, regardless of versions, anything beyond just the two of them or beyond mild D/s really, really bugs me & often puts me off finishing a story of book, which is an uncommon response for me.
GlassMazeGazer chapter 36 . 3/30
There isn’t much in this chapter that isn’t distasteful for me. Gross from top to bottom.
GlassMazeGazer chapter 35 . 3/30
Uh huh.
GlassMazeGazer chapter 34 . 3/30
Huh. Not enamored with this chapter. Granted, there needed to be some resolution effort in their disagreement, but this was all a little too pat & unconvincing. Hope things improve going forward on multiple levels.
GlassMazeGazer chapter 32 . 3/30
Ugh! I’m pretty well ready for this Sookie to take a flying leap into the Gulf of Mexico wearing a ship’s anchor as her necklace. Eric is better of without her. Even acting like an ass, and apparently much dumber than is common for an Eric character (why else would he constantly need Pam’s advice?), he’s still to good for a Sookie like this.
GlassMazeGazer chapter 30 . 3/30
Seriously — a ‘date’ with ANYONE after telling herself that she “physically ached for his (Erics) touch and my soul felt like a piece was missing whenever I realized that I didn't know when I would see his face again.” She deserves a Quinn! Apparently, she’s just a standard stupid, bitchy, cunt Sookie character after all. That type version of Sookie doesn’t deserve an Eric in her life!

No matter how dumb it was for Eric to send an expensive ring instead of having an adult conversation with her was, throwing the jewelry in the garbage disposal proves her stupidity & how inconsiderate she is. If nothing else, she should have thought about what diamonds would do to her brother’s disposal.

She readily admits that going out with Quinn will put him in danger from Eric, but she allows herself to be talked into doing it anyway? Hell, even if she can’t be bothered to be concerned with risking a stranger’s safety, shouldn’t she be worried about the impact this would have at the tribunal where Eric’s life is on the line, or at the very least, shouldn’t she worry about her own safety should things go bad for Eric?

And how is it that Sookie was left on her porch to fry in the sun. Super boss & supposed friend shifter Sam didn’t have the decency to make sure she was safely inside her home before driving away? Simple common curtesy on his part would have allowed him to notice she needed help & needed to be taken somewhere else.

For all the spouting the SVM/TB/FF stories do about southern manners & southern people behaving like ladies & gentlemen, it appears none of the characters in this story have ever heard of manners or etiquette, much less use them.
GlassMazeGazer chapter 28 . 3/29
That’s what she calls “love” — goes full on after Eric for a few days then decides an argument equals a break-up AND makes getting back together solely his responsibility? She’s looking too much like a standard tantrum throwing bitchy Sookie. Sooooo, disappointing!
GlassMazeGazer chapter 27 . 3/29
Was Eddie a vampire, or just a run of the mill human (or two-ey) who could just as easily die from a wooden stake in the chest as a vampire could?

And as for Quinn — NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
