This story is exactly what I was looking for. :) The only cgange I would have made is at the end: Instead of "descend to their level," I think it would have been better to write "ascend to their level," since, though mad, the hatter is magnificently intelligent, and as such I feel he would be far above a sixteen year old Alice. I loved every other bit of this. :)

I had to read this twice to truely appreciate it. It's a good thing I did too. *deep breath*

The Hatter came/went to Alice's reality leaving his own because she either forgot her hat or crown and wanted to return it. It's also just like him to forget what she LOOKS like and WHO she is in the process. *sigh* It's probably a good thing then that March Hare came with.

Glad to see one of them recognize the other, even if it took a bit of time.

Poor Lorna, she just can't get it at all. She'll regret leaving Alice to face him on her own later on, I bet.
