No Idea What to Name This chapter 3 . 12/28/2019 Ahem. My heart. You broke and reconstructed it. |
ryouko70 chapter 3 . 3/20/2015 Wow! That was an amazing story! You did a great job in showing that even saving the girl had the power to devastate Rorschach. Very well written! |
Viviane Renard chapter 3 . 9/8/2013 Good job. I enjoyed this alternative take on the Roche case. I like your writing style. While a lot of sentences caught my eyes, I think this one is my favorite, since it's such a touching family reunion: "Uncounted, unbearable seconds pass before muscles relax, fingers unclench, and words taper into tearful whispers." My only suggestion in terms of story style is that I felt you changed perspective too much. Sometimes there would only be a paragraph or two from one person's perspective, and then it would switch to another's. I felt it took away from the story because we had to continuously alter our perspective to match the new person. I think there's value in telling the story from Blaire, Rorschach, and Daniel's perspective, but maybe do one perspective per chapter instead? If you went that route, I think it would be most effective if the first was from Blaire's (confusion/fear of the pedophile and then this new "monster), the second from Rorschach's (murder then rescuing the child), and the third from Daniel's (the aftermath). Other than the constant POV switches, I enjoyed reading this story. Thanks for sharing! |
Gatoconbotas964 chapter 3 . 11/12/2011 Very nice narration style, although the switching POVs got a little confusing at times. I think you characterized everyone pretty well. |
Samu chapter 3 . 7/26/2010 I really enjoyed this rendition of what could have happened with Blaire Roche. It's interesting to see how Rorschach dealt with it similarly, yet in a very different way. I also really loved the scenes with the parents and how protective Rorschach was. And the breakdown at the end was perfect too. I loved all of it! |
Pa-kun chapter 3 . 10/2/2009 You do know that because of this story, I bawl everytime I reread the Roche case scene, right? SERIOUSLY, killing a little girl already makes me hate Grice and breaks my heart, but to make a story where you make her so adorable and naive and so much like a REAL little girl just...gawd, it gives you a new perspective on how horrible the Roche case really is. Not to mention, her realizing, even if she doesn't fully understand the situation, how important and lucky she is to be able to go home...*choke* B'aw, skipper :'( |
SodaX chapter 3 . 7/9/2009 Thsi was amazing and emotional. I like the style this was writtin in aswell. Very nice. |
Mrs Turtle chapter 3 . 7/6/2009 I love it! It made me cry a little...I loved how you did it in different perspectives, some people try to do that and it just ends up confusing but you did it beautifully. Keep up the good work. |
Kairan1979 chapter 3 . 7/6/2009 It was wonderful story! Thanks! |
sepulchreangel chapter 3 . 7/6/2009 oh my god. This is a beautiful little fic you have on your hands. I could enumerate everything I liked about it, but that would mean recapping the whole story and that would just be kind of stupid and redundant. Awesome job, you made me cry a little. |
8I chapter 3 . 7/5/2009 This was a really, really well written story. You have a way with words. |
Batman's Kinky Lover chapter 3 . 7/5/2009 Holy crap! One of the best stories of human character I have ever read! I love it, it made me cry at the end. Wonderful, definitely one for the favorites list. |
