I finally got the book the other day. No offense to Stephen King, but I think I prefer the movie. (Actually, my feelings are kind of mixed up.)

But this is seriously great. I really wish you could keep updating. Eleanor has such a quick wit that her sense of humor

is fantastic! I have added this story to my favorites.

So I used to be obsessed with 'The Green Mile' and the sadism of Percy, and then I went off it about 2 years ago but I've only recently (ie, since yesterday) decided to jump back up on the bandwagon.

It's so hard to find a well-written Percy fic. Most people who are obsessed with the character write this sappy, out-of-character fic and expect to receive good reviews. Yours, thankfully, does not fall into this category. I love your OC. Ellie is a fantastic mix of strength and vulnerability. She's not a complete doormat, but given the role of women in the era there is obviously a certain... eh. I don't know. I don't want to say weakness, but you know.

I can't wait to see what happens. Percy is despicable as ever.

I really like the way you develop your character in chapter 1. You give lots of background information about her, and you include details about the great depression and her family's struggles. I can't wait to read more.
