Well, this is absolutely just about the most depressing Bones story I've ever read. Good writing, but so bleak and hopeless that it left this reader shaken. All I can say is i'm very, very thankful that the show didn't go down this road.

This was the first Bones fanfic I read and I have to say, you are a talented writer. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Soo much angst! I can't wait to read more of your stories!

and yet, so heart breaking.

As much as it left a sickly feeling in the pit of my stomach, the thought of having my favourite two crime fighters ripped apart, I still found this a beautiful piece of writing.

You didn't use alot of dialogue, which is good, I find dialogue to be distracting sometimes. But the dialogue you did use was placed perfectly and uttered at the right times.

Loved the contrast aswell. How they could be so passionate at one point and then nothing. But Booth still wanted Bones near by. That part in itself leaves you hoping a little...but the last paragraph puts it back in perspective.

*gasp* What just happened? Wow! You just threw me for a loop. Here I am all happy and content in my world where B&B's first time would be anything but the most amazing, toe curling first time and BAM! Ana gives us this! I could see this being a scenerio (even though I pray to God it doesn't happen this way!). The way these two have such reservations about moving forward in their relationship.

Good take on their relationship and something that I could see happening - even if it doesn't conform to what most want to see happen. My favorite part is when Booth stumbles over Bones' name. Very nice detail.

Ouch. This one hurt a little bit. But it didn't ring untrue.

I'm sitting here watching 'The Blond in the Game' and things between them are still very edgy and uncomfortable. I could see this playing out this way. Hm... food for thought.

ok, you just broke my heart. That was amazing,the best thing I've read on here in ages and definitely one of your best pieces in my opinion, please continue this, happy or sad there's so much more you could do with this.

I like the idea of your story, but I don't really understand it. I went back to read it a second time, to find some sort of set-up or backstory and couldn't figure it out. Your writing style is wonderful and I'd happily go over this a few more times, but it seems to be missing something - dialogue maybe? You describe what's happening so well but I don't get an understanding of what the characters are going through emotionally, what they're thinking, etc. As I said it's a great story, a definite 'what-if' that I don't think is sad, just another look at their relationship. Interesting but missing a little bit of emotion/thought on the characters' parts.

It was VERY well written! In my opinion it was just long enough. Any longer or shorter and it would have lacked... something important. Again... very, VERY well written. Great idea. Lovely story. It makes you feel sad for both of them.

It's so intense that I can feel the sorrow, the guilt, the despair... Great job. But the angst! It hurts...

"It was obvious where this was headed, and she had reached her capacity, there was no room left for another emotional blow."

It's too real, and if they weren't them I couldn't have any hope. But although things are not always what you expect, it has not to be the end.(I know, I'm an optimistic)

I really loved this fic. It's always nice to read a story where everything isn't perfect with Booth & Brennan because in real life, when you go from friends to lovers - sometimes it turns out that it's just 'not right' - no matter how much chemistry or UST you have.

I know you said this is a one shot, but I would love for you to add another chapter or two :)

WOW, Ana. Spectacularly written. But i'm not 100% sure what to make of it, yet. Even after 2 reads. I'll have to read it again in a few days.

I do love your writing style though. Its magic. Really.
