Excellent story! I'm glad I'm reading this in 2017, otherwise i might've suffered from an acute case of expectation-stress Xdon't mean any offense, I don't update my stories often either). I liked how you put context to the characters and developed their personalities according to that, and the amount of depth in the writing really draws people in, even if they're not, say, fans of alcohol and sex scenes. The background details are good as well, although I tend to put more emphasis on the characters than setting description.
I did feel in the second half like there was no clear objective though. Gabriella and Troy got together in the first (at least partially), so I was kinda lost at what your aim was after that was done. I've also read some of your other stories and I'm very pleased with their result as well. I also admire how much effort and depth you've put on this one, which isn't something you find everywhere.
Anyways, just wanted to say congratulations! Very well done indeed!

I love when Troy has jelousy

Read your story and I couldn't put it down. Usually I'm not a fan of AU, but you wrote it so well. Great writing and great plot line! I'm also a fan of your music taste, and I'll admit that it was your Nickelback song summary and title that got me to start reading, but it was all you that kept me going. I see that it took five years to write, and although I didn't start reading it when you started writing it, it would have been worth the wait.

So, I just now learned about the events in your life Dani, I'm sure you fought hard and gave it your best. You were an incredible writer and definitely one of my favorite authors. RIP Dani, I didn't know you but you left your mark in my heart.
