Aha! Good! This is what I've been looking for. I very much enjoyed how you addressed both boys' feelings of jealousy/envy for each other. I feel your portrayal of Cedric's earnest desire to befriend Harry and demonstrate his good faith was well done. On the other hand, I feel like Harry was portrayed as somewhat frailer than how I picture him, after all he has done many great things already!

If only... oh the things that would change if Cedric was alive and watching Harry's back ;)) Sorry, but since he was of age, imagine him finding out about the Dursley's, even if by accident and goes to check on him, maybe even to see Harry being choked by Vernon. Sorry, I love hurt/comfort and that'd be great if he interfered. 10/10

I've always seen Cedric as the sort of person that Harry would be friends with, because they were so similar, in so many ways. They are both really nice, kind people. They are both incredibly loyal, and modest. I think that this is a realistic representation of what could have happened.

When I realized how old this story was, I was initially reluctant to leave a review since I wasn't sure if you'd see it. However, when I noticed that you're still actively writing stuff, I figured it'd be ok to leave my thoughts.

For some odd reason, I tend to favor characters that tragically die in a series (for example, Zack Fair from Final Fantasy VII). In the Harry Potter universe, it's Cedric. Therefore, I really liked reading this story and its sequel. It's the only Cedric-survives story that I've found decent. Have you ever thought of expanding this to see what happens in the post-Goblet of Fire books where Cedric survives? I think this has a lot of potential to become something much greater. Granted, it would be a lot of work to do, so I can understand not wanting to/having the time to commit to it. It's just a suggestion from me, although I would personally love to see this turn into something more.
