Guest chapter 1 . 5/12/2014 This is so great, I know it's five years old, gosh it really doesn't seem that long since TW finished.. Anyhow just in case you still see reviews, I don't know why I had never read this one, but it's a lovely stand alone adventure, would have made a good episode. |

WickedBlue chapter 1 . 3/16/2011 Awesome fic. I really liked Rhys and Ianto being friends having to rely on each other in such a bad situation. and I adored vulnerable, unsure Jack. |

Lady Emma Wentworth chapter 1 . 5/4/2010 Holy potatoes! This was absolutely brilliat and I cannot thank you enough for sharing. I don't know where to begin with my praise: your character development is fantastic - Rhys has pretty much been a blank slate until recently, and you embued him with bravery, brains, determination and you showed us all that he is more than just Mr. Gwen Cooper. I really, really enjoyed the all-out passion that you let Jack show - I honestly didn't know for sure that he wouldn't kill the pizza manager, and for a moment, I really thought he might desecrate Roulette's body, one final show of anger, of rage, of fear. His 'burn everything' including the humans was a powerful judgement against what they had done to his loved one. For once, Gwen wasn't the whiney, sniveling bitch that often comes to the forefront when she's not the center of attention. As for Ianto, I mean, damn! James Bond himself would have been proud of the way Ianto handled himself, even after being almost mortally wounded. You have an excellent sense of intrigue and suspense - you let the story build upon itself, relying on the reader's imagination to fill in the colours of the pencil sketches you created. It's always so much more effective that way, rather than having the writer lead the reader around by a nosering. Thank you again for an absolutely brilliant tale. I cannot wait to read more of your works. |
DobbyWobby chapter 1 . 1/14/2010 this story is amazing, really really amazing. i love it |
DarqueQueen7 chapter 1 . 12/8/2009 I've read this story a long time ago and had forgotten how good it was. Thanks for putting it together, Erin. It was a wonderful insight into Ianto, Rhys, Jack and Gwen. Two thumbs WAY THE FRIG UP! Darque |
Village-Mystic chapter 1 . 11/27/2009 Characterization good… science, poor. I would think that they’d have some kind of transponder in their shoes or for Ianto his tie clip for such emergencies, like low jacking a car but on a frequency that only Torchwood could pick up? The action and dialog were great… the investigation pretty good, but knowing TW I would suspect they’d gone to the CCTV first if they weren’t understaffed. Meaning you did a fairly good job of showing they didn’t have enough information to narrow it down on time, and neither Jack nor Gwen are techie enough to want to go through the whole evening as their first choice. Good sound and storytelling overall. |
