Short chapter...but intense...great job!

I must say this was a wonderful surprise. I don't often enjoy Riddick stories that focus on other female characters because I tend to enjoy the mythic elements tied into Riddick and Jack's relationship but this was thoroughly enjoyable.

I enjoyed the opening set up with the therapist. It establishes a lot of information without being too obvious. We find out the narrator's first name, the general state of affairs, get a good look into her thought processes and a sense of her character all in an organic way. The reference to Ender's Game is nicely integrated and doesn't feel heavy-handed as are the random facts tossed about, one of which I didn't know myself. (Makes me question my own grooming habits to know what narrowed eyebrows traditionally signify. Personal aesthetic choice or subconscious influence?)

The therapist is also not a disappointment. She could have been a simple plot device but she is fleshed out through Alessandra's observations into a three-dimensional person, and then as quickly as she is introduced and dissected, she is dismissed by the ending line. It seems to be a very self-contained chapter. I'm interested in seeing what comes next. You've done an excellent good of introducing us to the main character and investing the reader without actually advancing the plot. Very nicely done.

I must say that I've read many fan fictions on this site and I find yours to be the most eloquent and well-written story of them all. I've also written a fan fiction about Pitch Black. It's called Pitch Black: Darkness Falls and it's a story about a girl who is a hell hound hybrid.

I would be honored if you would read it and give me your opinion as a fellow writer and fan of the Pitch Black/Riddick series. I hope you continue to write and will pray for your health because you have a gift that is worth sharing.

I love this story! You've done an excellent job creating a plot line that is believable and intriguing. I might also add that I'm VERY glad you didn't make Angelface a furyan, that would've been entirely to convenient. I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. Can't wait to read more!
