I really hope you continue this story :) I'd LOVE to see where a relationship between Mac and Stella goes. I miss that show something fierce although I only caught wind of it after it was already in reruns. I hope they get steamy often :)

Classic song, amazing movie and given new life by a modern day couple who needs the world to stop for a minute so they can acknowledge each other and their feelings. Lovely pieces of canon in the way the characters act and then taking it further.

I've just stumbled upon this story and I have to say, you have a beautiful style:)

Your descriptions ('whisper of a kiss' - wondeful!), Stella's internal struggle and her ponderings about her life, how all the bad experiences have made her stronger and how she feels about Mac (the 'girl meets boy' paragraph was amazing!) - really insightful and so in character!

And the fluff ending was truly heart-warming and so skilfully done! This story left me with a big smile on my face, so thanks for that! Really well done!

I really loved it, loved the concept, and also how you used present tense, as it added to the feel of immediacy and seizing the moment. I loved the pace and the ambience as well, the meeting of friends that becomes something more, and the sense of the change as well, the summer and then the rain, which is the feel of things changing for the better. I loved that Stella talked to Mac, and then he feels the same. Just a beautiful ending, I love the image you leave us with.

I love this song! When I first saw the title I thought of the sitcom, "As Time Goes By." It's a British sitcom with Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer. Anyway loved this one-shot. It was cute how they both were making little moves while dancing and the rain at the end...great!
