So, it has been 10 years or so since I read this. Honestly, I was surprised that you even looked at this and wanted to keep going. I look at my things and always say "nope", so good on you for continuing! It's kind of encouraging to see someone look at their old work and want to fix and continue it.

Hey there, i think that rewritten a story is good. Specially if the changes you want to do ot are for a better story. Miko and Deidara relationship can get better, if you want it to make it, do it. It's your story and your decision, but if i were you, i would rewrite or change the things i want it, since like you said, your knowledege about child abuse has mature too. Thanks for asking btw! I don't know if you remember me (this username is not the same as it once was, and it's been so long that I can't remember if I left a review(s) back in the day) but I want you to know that it was a kind of confused but delighted surprise to see this update pop up in my email today. And that truth be told, I had thought about you and this story rather recently, while thinking back on other writers who vanished and never returned. And ngl, I got hit with a throwback of chapter excerpts and imagery that I associate with this story alone.
I hope that doesn't sound weird, that after all this time one of your old readers was thinking about you lately and wondering if you were doing well.
Anyways, I'm glad to see that you still kept up with this! And that you're considering rewriting it with better understanding to go at it again. The naruto fandom (and especially the Akatsuki) will always have a special place in my heart, so I'll probably consider reading the new version of M,SMaA no matter what path you choose to take it. It'll be like reading this story again for the first time :)

I won't lie it is an amazing story and it was a well written chapter but I hated it... I almost lost my phone and myself in the anger on this last chapter. I'm honestly going to search for funny cat videos until the heaviness in my heart and the horrible need to cry goes away...

I like how your chapter is so long. Good job on the different points of views and stuff. But seriously just a teeny bit too much flashback!

Apart from that I totally LUV this story!

Deep inward crying.
I am.. Shocked by how.. Dark.. Sadistic.. And painful this story turned into.. It hurts, a lot.
On a positive sign though, that's great. Your brilliant writing has allowed the readers to feel how twisted and dangerous child abuse can turn out to be. You went do in depth with Miko's character that it's actually scary. The words, the emotions, the flow, everything was so perfect.. Yet so dark..
Strangely enough, I actually enjoyed this chapter, having not read anything so... Emotional in so long. Child abuse is a very scary and often written rather blandly in fanfics, but I can assure you you did this AMAZINGLY well.
Miko's constant struggle for acceptance and her eventually giving up entrigues me into wondering how you would continue the story from then on, and the fact that Deidara had finally snapped. Hopefully, all will go well, and the other Akatsuki members will make an appearance.
Overall, this is a SUPERB chapter, and I really really enjoyed it.
