Guest chapter 31 . 7/16/2019 This was utterly incredible! I felt every emotion - their joy, love, anguish and sorrow. Your last couple of chapters had me weeping as if I'd lost my own child. What a gifted author you are! And so dedicated. Major kudos to you |
ElvithienAranel chapter 30 . 5/28/2017 Oh wow, this story was amazing! I really loved it right from the beginning: the plot, the characters -especially Tess and Tavingtonthey are such a lovely couple! The last few chapters made me cry. I was so sad, why so much tragedy, but life is like that... I felt with them when they were mourning the dead. I couldn't believe that the story might end like this, but then the epilogue made up for it. I feel happy for them to be reunited in death. I really love the last sentence you wrote to end this story!Anne |
RubinChan chapter 29 . 7/9/2014 The ending was great ) Ok he is dead, but so its better than he is ll the time sad. (coudl cry again X) ) Thank you for the story :D In german their are just 5(?), just one is finished. |
RubinChan chapter 27 . 7/9/2014 Q_Q I'm crying with him! How could you?! In all books my fav characters die or they are sad because their love died. T_T I love your writing style ) |
jhm.59 chapter 27 . 5/15/2014 I actually had to stop at this chapter because I know what happens next and it's just not a happy ending. Still, maybe an ending with closure. Just a side note- I would like to see Bordon hold off on Tess even more when it concerns the issue of her and Will being together. I know he's a forgiving sort at the end of the day, but that was a really deep blow, with a whole lot of shame involved. Maybe play that out more? And, maybe have Bordon reflect more on his relationship with Susanna, how they met and began their relationship. I think you have already brought that up, but again would be nice too. I've really enjoyed reading this. :) Happy writing! |
Guest chapter 19 . 5/6/2014 Yeesh, a slap just solves everything, hm? I have used it a fair bit with Will. There's just something about it. Also, poor Bordon! Understandable though. Tavington isn't one who is really a 'committal' sort of person. He's a little murky in that area. And, I'm sure Bordon has his hands tied with his loyalties as well. Good chap! |
jhm.59 chapter 14 . 5/1/2014 Ah yes, fresh, crazy love. So impulsive. Hehe! I feel terribly smug, knowing what's going to happen. Poor Geoffrey though. Bordon, never gets a break. At least he isn't too blind not to suspect something. A bit surprised that he let her dance with Will though. Then again, he is Bordon's superior officer; he probably didn't have much of a choice. |
jhm.59 chapter 12 . 4/27/2014 It's nice to see a tender moment with Will. Of course, that brash exterior is hiding just behind the corner, I suppose? He can't have let his guard down completely yet. |
jhm.59 chapter 8 . 4/25/2014 Nice chapter. One could almost lose themselves in the intimacy, but then, there's always that niggling little thought: Tavington is USING her. Shamelessly. Beast! |
jhm.59 chapter 7 . 4/17/2014 I like the little glimmer of unsureness that Tavington shows when Tess tells him she wants to recant on the deal. She did have the upper-hand even if it was but for a moment. Also, just a note about the ending, and it's something I myself need to work on too. You end with the words 'sarcastically' and 'simply' in the two last sentences respectively. It felt a little repetitive to me. Maybe end the last sentence with something like "... he answered her sarcasm with a blithe retort.' Just a thought. Enjoying the read! |
jhm.59 chapter 6 . 4/14/2014 Typical 'use and loose' tactic for Tavington; of course, it will come back to haunt him. I believe you said you were going to rewrite this one; what plans do you have for it? |
jhm.59 chapter 4 . 4/9/2014 Such a polite ****. That's it... Tavington almost becomes 'human', and then... op, nope! Devilish rogue! Shame they didn't put more of it in the movie. |
jhm.59 chapter 3 . 4/7/2014 I liked this chapter; I like the way Tavington's anger was portrayed. It was definitely present, but it wasn't an inhuman anger. It didn't stereotype him. |
jhm.59 chapter 2 . 4/5/2014 The cruelty of his fellow soldiers... :(. I suppose they were 'doing their duty', but jeez! |
jhm.59 chapter 1 . 4/5/2014 I read this before, years ago. It's nice to take another look. Seems like fire is constantly surrounding the Dragoons. |
