This is an interesting read. I think you defined Dist's obsessions with Jade and Nebilim very well. I also like how you included self-hate in the list of his insecurities; if you take his bragging at face value, it may seem like he's trying to convince everyone else of his superiority, but I've always thought that, at times, it seems more like he's trying to convince himself. The mention of the lunch table scene from the Gaiden was well-placed. And...yes, borderline autistic does describe his social difficulties pretty appropriately. Something else to think about...hmm...

Besides that, Jade's treating him as an "extra set of hands" and a "guinea pig" seems very Jade-like.
