wow. loved it. like others have said, there are a couple spelling and grammar mistakes, but all in all it was a great story, and could be followed up with another one-shot, or chapter.

This is a fairly well-written story. In the first few paragraphs I could feel the dark, urban mysteriousness pervading Central City. A major drawback, though, is a complete absence of commas, which makes it very difficult to read in places. I can even see spots where periods probably should have been used. There're also some strange word choices, like "invested" instead of "infested" or "think" where "thick" should have been written.

The only other thing I can find wrong with it is that it doesn't really seem to go anywhere; just a little mystery and people going about their business. 7 out of 10.

I love this story! The Spirit is probably my favorite comic book hero. He's so much cooler than anyone running around in crazy spandex. I also love that you can make more super (being immortal) or more human (just being brought back from the dead. It's gives his stories a lot of flexibility.

I especially like how you treated his story in this one shot. You don't come out and say if he's a ghost, immortal or what so it leaves a lot to the immagination. I kinda of wish you'd do a follow-up or something with Eli, but that would probably ruin the mystery of it.

The only thing I'd suggest is going through this story once and proof reading it. There's a lot of misspellings and grammer mistakes. Seperating the shifts in veiw would probably help, too. Your descriptions are excelent, though. You really capture the feel on the city and setting and you have a great balance between explanation and description.
