I think when you have a strong bond with others you are more inclined to help then if you are alone. The stranger's way may have been the only way he knew, but to judge a whole group of people on 4 representatives is equally ludicrious.

But I don't think that guy was at all fair in his judgement of is home to them, not Earth or Sateda or Athos. They are a family. And at the end of the day, no matter what happens, with a home and a family to fill it, it is not the end of the world. not ever.

Wow. Lovely, creepy, heartbreaking fic! Really, really cool twist with the failure of the test. I don't think I've ever seen that before. Usually friendship- that you trust/value someone and someone trusts/values you- is protrayed as a great and sacred thing by other worlds (at least in fanon. And, I think, in canon) Turning friendship into a perceived weakness is brilliant.
