You have no idea how glad I am that the ‘T’ is only for violence. As much as I like Buffy and Angel, shipping’s still very new to me (not the concept, the actual action), and reading those kinds of scenes still makes me really uncomfortable.

Since I’m reviewing this, I just wanted to say that so far this story is amazing (and almost certainly will continue to be). The premise is great, the characters are acting in character and are great, the quality of writing and subtle changes in your style between different POVs is great, and there’s probably a lot more that I’m missing. Thanks!

Also, this is a bit off topic but I was wondering if you’d find doing a ‘Helpless’ AU (obviously a one-shot this time, though) interesting? I know you haven’t been doing much Buffy stuff lately but I thought it would be interesting to see what would’ve happened if Buffy had agreed to let Angel walk her home that night. You’d definitely be able to pull it off.

This is absolutely delightful! Come for the B/A, stay for the Wes & Angel. I just binged it all in one sitting and I can hardly begin to elaborate all the things I loved about it. The first parts make my heart ache, while the later sections are what I wish canon could have been, and on the whole it’s just incredibly satisfying. I adore all your B/A fic, but I think this is my favorite so far.

I'm crying while reading Wesley pleading his case on behalf of Angel, the Kalderash are absolutely disturbingly thick headed for no good reason at all.

Also, how did Kralik came to be if he wasn't the main deal for the Cruciamentum?

Liking the story so far, but I gotta call BS on the whole Xander issue.

Kendra had just died, Giles was kidnapped, Willow was hurt and planning to try the spell that already hadn't worked*, and the Acaltha was literally about to destroy the world. Buffy was their only hope, but she wouldn't have been able to give her all and kill Angelus if Xander told her he could be brought back.

Was it a lie? Yes. Is Buffy's anger justified? Hell yes. But Xander had to make a judgement call and honestly? He made the right choice. If Willow's spell failed, Buffy would have been in the right mental state to kill Angelus instead of holding back in the hopes Angel would return.

Finally, Giles' part makes no sense in regards to Xander. Angel wouldn't have been sent to Hell if Willow hadn't used black magic to drag his soul from it's resting place and bind it to Angelus. Giles would not blame him for that, especially considering the torture and Calender's death. Giles isn't *that* subservient to Buffy's views.

Anyways, good fic so far. Looking forward to what's next.

This is so brilliant. I absolutely love this story. So true to the characters, it really does feel like this is the real characters (in some ways, more so than the actual season 3 did).

Okay, so, I started reading fanfiction just a few years ago while I was pretty much flat on my back from a concussion, and Buffy was the first fandom I wandered into. I'll freely admit that the first fics I read were...um, of lesser quality? After I figured out how to sort through them more effectively, Worlds Apart was one of the very first fics I came across that I didn't ditch in the first chapter (it's just such a struggle to get through a fic with spectacularly terrible grammar or creepy/abusive romance), so I sat down and read the whole thing in one weekend, and it blew my fucking mind. I have literally not shut up about this fic to anyone since I read it for the first time-I convinced a friend to watch Buffy wholly on the pitch I gave them for this fic. I've read it like twelve times since that first weekend, and every single time, I'm delighted all over again. I don't have an account on , although I have since started writing fic on AO3, thus the anonymous review, but I just wanted to say thank you. SO much. Thank you for this fic, thank you for keeping me sane while I recovered from that concussion, thank you for prompting me to get into writing fic, just thank you.
