Beautiful story from start to finish. Loved the ending scene with the shower. That was so powerful. Sam sitting there freezing and trying to feel something and Dean finally breaking through to him in such a tender way. Deans thoughts as Sam cried were so perfect too. Just love this story! I finally got around to reading this last night and I want you to know - I reread it today. I enjoyed it that much. I thought this was heartfelt, nicely worked out and I liked your music in the beginning and your mention of Chopin at the end (I play piano as well). I have never heard of Hey Rosetta. I'll have to check them out.

One thing that I really liked is that you carried over the guilt Sam had over the nurse. I wonder where in time the show is going to pick up on - are we going to be right where we left off and Lucifer is still rising or are we going to skip time and it's going to be a month or so down the road. It will be interesting, but I would think that Sam would harbor guilt over what he did to the woman for, well, forever.

Liked your 'they have both been used enough'. Nicely said.

I thought 'the family that brings the apocalypse together stays together' was funny - I giggled.

Loved how Dean thought of Sam as wanting to be the hero for once, not the freak. Not the monster. Said very well.

The entire bit with broken Sam in the shower, drenched cold was also nicely played. I liked the "Do you feel that?" You did a great job bringing back the remembrance of Dean and 'his line' and I thought the melt down was done very well. Sorrowful, but not over the top.

Totally loved the last line, "There you are." Aw, made my heart swell a little.

This tag nails all the necessary elements-Sam's guilt, Dean slowly getting it, and the return of the brotherhood that has been so badly lacking. I love how broken you paint Sam here, how desperate he is to feel-Sam's been slowly coming apart all series, and I think after this ep, he's due for a rather large breakdown. And I love that you let Dean finally SEE Sam for all he's tried to do, not just for how he's impacted Dean.

All in all, lovely exploration :) Good job.
