I'd admit the length had me doubting the worth of this fic, but honestly...this was...pretty darn good. I liked your metaphors and Cross's change of mind halfway through them. And...well, they made sense, too.

Poor Cross. I felt like I was reading his personal thoughts, since there weren't any exterior description to bring me back to reality. Me likie.

This is a unique, short and sweet, IC, and well-written fic. XD

I have to say my most favorite type of dgm stories are the ones that focus on Cross and Allen (if they're good anyway). I realy like how you wrote the chemistry here in a sublte way with Cross trying to define his real relationship with Allen evolved over his time of being with him.

Interesting introspective of Cross. I don't think Cross planned to get attached to Allen either. But Allen has such a sad fate, you just feel like you have to give him some love. :)
