Great story I definitely was surprised that the master plan was horses. Especially sense I'm a city kid and my knowledge on animals is limited to the pet parakeet I had when I was like seven that killed itself by flying into a window

This was an interesting story. I didn't expect horses and racing to take it over like that, though. I thought they were trying to make artificial humans to be "perfect" army soldiers or something. Then BOOM, horses.

I also didn't expect things to unfold the way they did. I expected the three boys to be more involved, and get tangled up in the mess along with Ed. I wanted to see Ed blow his cover in front of them, and have them react to him being the Fullmetal Alchemist (who turns out to be a kid just like them). I've seen that multiple times in these undercover fics, and it was kind of a bummer to not see it here.

Nonetheless, this was pleasantly realistic. Having the OC kids not play such a big role was probably for the best in this case. Not to mention the whole bit with the horse racing to cover up General Clinton's cavalry plans. The whole plot felt very plausable in the world of FMA, given the time period and the general atmosphere. It came off as very formal, and rightfully so. I feel like if it were done any other way, the credibility of the whole thing would've suffered for it.

I'm all for the weird, off-the-wall, semi-unrealistic story ideas. In fact, I specialize in those kinds of stories. I live and breathe them. But this time it was a refreashing change to read something down to earth.

Overall, you did a fantastic job throughout the entire piece. Unexpected and slightly disappointing outcomes and all. (Disappointing for me, but others I'm sure loved it.) I was scrolling through the list of completed stories 10k words long, looking for something to pass the time while I worked through my writer's block. I was not disappointed in that respect. :)

Very nice job. I'm surprised this story doesn't have more reviews than it does. It certainly deserves more.

One thing that keeps bothering me. When ed was thrown in the barn and someone checked for his watch, you said he left it at the apartment. But in the beginning, ed gave it to al, and al took it with him to resembool. Just a note.

I am happy to see the story completed. It was a great undercover romp with good action. I am just a little disappointed that there was no closure with the other teenagers from the beginning of the story.

This line is just

"No!" Ed might be willing to tolerate the colonel now, but he was miles away from being mushy.

Rick just laughed at him.
