yis, good story's all around

I love coming across a fic that unexpectedly makes me care about someone I didn't give two shits about prior. Not even one shit, frankly, when it comes to Shino, who was just one among so many expressionless hardasses in Naruto, plus bugs, just, ew.

But then there's this fic - old, and perhaps you're not active here any more and you won't see this review, but I'll post it anyway, on the off-chance that you do. Just know that your 5k words did more than years of following Naruto did in terms of my caring about this weird-ass character with his gross bugs. (I don't like bugs, can you tell?)

Your writing is just lovely, your Hinata and Kiba were just spot on. The scene where he wakes up and gives Hinata that small smile was beautiful.

This was amazing. I never cared about Shino before but you've made a side-character with very little development absolutely shine. Creative, beautiful, lyrical writing. Excellent characterization. Really, really amazing.

So wait, what the hell technique did the Sound shinobi use? Some kind of Izanami/Izanagi-style ningenjutsu? Quantum clones that are somehow real and fake at the same time?

Great fic. Kind of sad that the single best Shino fic I've ever read has him die in the middle. Still really really good though

This is brilliant. It's a damned shame that you had Shino lose so easily, since reading a genuinely well written story from his perspective makes him come across as pretty freaking scary.

Tragic and beautiful... So so sad

wait. this was really funny at first, and i was laughing and all... but then it started to get serious, which was okay. pretty interesting take on what kind of technique would take Shino down. I just wish the ending had been.. more climatic? It seemed vague and didnt really tie into the story. So, while the first half was brilliance, i felt a little let down at the end. Im not saying this needed a happy ending, i just think you could have written a more solid ending that, you know, replays over and over in the reader's though, I wish you wrote more oneshots :)
